It's A Party - Boys Rule

Morning!! This is my last project using the May/June kit at Boys Rule. I thought this was a good way to use up all those bits and pieces from the kit. Oh don't get me wrong, there is still plenty left over, I'm no where near down to my scraps. I think I could do another five layouts with all that is left! I thought though that Noah might like an invite to share with his Grandma when she gets invited to his birthday party!! Maybe, just maybe he will invite me too!!!

Wild Child - Boys Rule And A FREE Cut File

Howdy Scrappy Friends!!! I'm up today at Boys Rule sharing my latest layout using the May/June kit. I usually tend to use muted background for my layouts, but I was loving this circle striped background. I didn't really have a design in mind until I started looking through my cameo files. I came across this circle design I created and then the layout began to take shape. It was pretty fun decorating all those circles I must admit. I hope you enjoy the cut file..if you do please help me get the word out, pin it, share it... I would really appreciate it!! I have more files coming!!

Happier Than A Monster - Boys Rule

Good Morning Scrappy Friends and Happy Sunday! Today I'm sharing a card I made using the May/ June kit from Boys Rule . I just can't help but smile when I look at all that fun patterned paper in the kit. I thought a birthday card for a special little boy was in order! I punched out circles on my star layered paper and tucked the balloons from the Fancy Pants Ephemera pack in the circles with some pop dots for dimension. Party Animal - Boys Rule

Morning Everyone and Happy Sunday!!! Today I'm sharing my latest project with the May/June kit from Boys Rule. I love that in the kit there are so many different element packs and patterned papers from different manufacturers to play with. I love to layer and cluster so for me anything goes! It all matches and adds some eye candy in the end!! When I saw the title "Party Animal" in the Fancy Pants Ephemera Pack I knew it was just the right saying for this layout of Ryan. He just came home from a week long trip to Mexico with friends. He told me he has tons of great photos for me to scrap!! Do you feel a mini album coming his way??? lol.

All That Awesome - Boys Rule

Santa Paws

Morning Scrappy Friends!! After a trip to the scrap store with Sis I came home with a few new goodies! One is this collection from Fancy Pants called Timbergrove. I loved the blues, browns and creams in the collection. And of course I had a photo of Jax laying around..surprised aren't you? lol. I thought he just fit right into this paper! It was a quick and easy layout to do because the background was already scrap ready! A few stickers, a couple of tags and some ink.. and I was all done!! The hard part was coming up with a title. I couldn't find one I liked, so I thought I would try my hand at making one! So until next time...

Morning! This is my layout for our display board at Urban Scrapbook. It's so fun to go in and see what's in the kits for the month. I love going into the store and seeing all ten designers take on the kit. This is a line from Fancy Pants collection Love Note. Such pretty colors! I wanted to try something different so I got a little wild wetting and rolling the background, lol. With the black cardstock it almost looks like a picture frame if you see it in real. I didn't even follow a sketch which is very unlike me. I just played and let it happen. This of course is Nicole & Chris hanging out at Zoo lights in Calgary. I loved the hearts above them. Why? To Believe In Me

Morning!! I wanted to share a layout I created  for a very unique challenge. This one was interesting. It was just for the design team at Let's Get Sketchy. We were suppose to do a layout to answer the question "Why Do You Scrap". This is one of the hardest layouts I've done. I really had to stop and reflect. I will share what my journaling reads so you can see my answer.

When I asked myself why I scrap I really had to think. It started as a way to preserve my families journey., but it became more than that. It became...about Me. It's about letting my creative side come through. It's about believing in myself. It's expressing myself through my art. It's being that creative person who has been hiding for so long. To shy to say...this is who I am, and I love myself again.

Zoo - ScrapFIT Workout #72

Today at ScrapFIT our new workout is up and running! Our creative director Diana has come up with a fun color challenge! These aren't my usual colors to work with, but once I got going, it was alot of fun! I love a good challenge.  I've had this giraffe photo since last summer and these were the perfect colors to scrap with! I did this layout for Practical Scrappers where the challenge was to be "Inky". Me and Ink? No...lol. Oh did I ink, lol. I inked the doily, the banner, the photo, the layers, the flowers...I inked it all I think. The challenges there are just so much fun! I'm so glad to be a Fresh Face Designer for a few months with this amazingly talented group of ladies.

Wishful Soul

When I saw this sketch by Karan Gerber at Sketchabilities  I wanted to do it right away. I just love her! When I saw the banner I went "yikes". That's what I love about challenges. They sometimes take you out of your comfort zone or let you try things you wouldn't normally do. My first thought was....wedding layout! But then I sat and thought about it. I wanted to do pink and frilly, and it took me 2 hours to find a photo, lol. I wish I had a baby girl ( anyone want to borrow me a grandbaby?) I ended up picking a photo of me with my new "piggy mittens" I got for my birthday when we went to Banff for the weekend.  Then I stopped by Scrapping The Music and when I heard the song "I'm alive" and read the lyrics I knew what the layout was going to be called. Those girls over there really have to stop making me cry. I don't share alot of my personal story on my blog, so that's why alot of the time it's in hidden journaling. For my journaling I used the lyrics to the song. It spoke to my heart. So thank you Karan for the beautiful sketch and for the girls who always touch my heart at Scrapping the Music.

You + Me = Happy

Well, I took a break from the wedding album and did a layout of Nicole & Chris in Disneyland. I was cruising the net and saw that Canadian Scrapbooker was doing a call for Disney layouts, so I put down my blacks, white's and purple's and had some fun with this one. I'm crossing my fingers and toes it makes the call! I'm on a roll today...first time in a long time I did two layouts in one day. Ok, my presents still aren't wrapped, the dishes aren't done...but look what I did get accomplished today!

Nicole's Engagement Album

I finally finished my daughters mini album of her engagement photos, just in time for her shower. I loved working with this line from Fancy Pants, it was so easy with lots of paper and elements to choose from. I had fun glimmer misting everything and she loved the album, so that's all that counts!!! It felt good to get back to scrappin', it's been awhile.

Kinslee's Baby Album

Kinslee!

This is an album that I just finished for my girlfriend Ashlee. She had a beautiful baby girl named Kinslee in October. I wanted to do her an album for her first year. It was really fun working with the Fancy Pants. I haven't had alot of time to scrapbook lately so this was a project that was quick and fun to do. I really loved doing a baby album, I don't think I have ever done one before. I can't wait until tomorrow so I can give her her gift.
