Thowback to the 1970's - Canadian Scrapbooker

Good Morning!! I'm so excited!! I was asked to be a guest designer on the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine blog today. It is such an honour to be a guest at my favourite scrapbook magazine. There is a story behind this layout! My best friend from junior high school and I reconnected on facebook this year. She posted this photo to my wall.. it's from 1978! I was pretty stylin back then, now wasn't I? lol. So, when I saw the "Somewhere In Time" collection from BoBunny, I just couldn't resist using it for my layout. I layered, I stamped, I stamped some more, lol. I used a cut file that I shared awhile ago and a cut file from Kerri Bradford as well. If your new to my blog there is a tab at the top called "Cameo Cut File Freebies" where I share the files that I made. Please feel free to grab one, two or all of them. I will be adding new files often. In fact there will be a new one available tomorrow!!

Double Trouble

Morning! It's such a beautiful day here and I wanted to take a little break and have some fun. I saw the sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker and just had to play along. I dug into the new BoBunny collection Modern Miss and tried a more graphic style layout. Red is usually not a color I work with so I wanted to give myself a challenge and work with some vibrant colors. You know what I love?? The boxed Journal cards that BoBunny has just come out with. They are just the perfect thing to back your photos or use as layers. I've been using them in my Misc. Me binder, but I just figured out how much fun they are to use on layouts too! Not sure why the photo would not take, but hey.. not everything is perfect right?

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn

Autumn Traditions

If Your Looking for the 3Scrappy Boys Blog Hop...please scroll down!

Morning Scrappy Friends! Today I had a few minutes to play in my studio and found this sketch at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. When I saw all the circles I wasn't sure what to do. Cute and Fun? Bright and Bold? But if you know me, I went with the warm colours of fall and it turned out more shabby than fun! Some things never change right? These photos are all of Nicole on our family photo shoot down by the lake on our Thanksgiving weekend. I had fun cutting out all the circles and used my cameo to make the distressed photo frame. In the end I quite liked how it turned out. So until next time...

Yeahhhh for Canadian Scrapbooker!

Good Morning Scrappy Friends!! I was so excited to get my Summer Issue of Canadian Scrapbooker and see my layout in the magazine that I just had to share! I saw some other scrappy friends in there too. So exciting to see everyone's layouts and yell "Hey I know her". My kids called and said "Oh Mom.. did you have to use those photos?".. They politely asked if I could warn them and my daughter said " At least let me comb my hair first".. Don't you love kids?? lol. Hope your all having a wonderful day. I'm off to see my specialist for my "dizzies" today, finally I got an appointment after 5 months of waiting. I'm excited to see him, and I get to spend a few days with my daughter too. She lives right by the hospital, so the 3 hours drive will be worth it!!! See you all next week.

Picture Perfect - Bo Bunny

Morning Everyone!!! How's your day?? Today at Bo Bunny our designers are showcasing the new Mama Razzi2 collection. I love the colors and the shabby look to this line. I played with the new stamps from Bo Bunny too. They have some fun backgrounds stamps and also stamps for some of the collections. Along with the noteworthy pieces and stickers, this came together quite quickly. These are my silly kids!! The  kids love taking photos in photo booths and I love when they give them to Mom. I think they are "Picture Perfect".

You + Me = Happy

Well, I took a break from the wedding album and did a layout of Nicole & Chris in Disneyland. I was cruising the net and saw that Canadian Scrapbooker was doing a call for Disney layouts, so I put down my blacks, white's and purple's and had some fun with this one. I'm crossing my fingers and toes it makes the call! I'm on a roll today...first time in a long time I did two layouts in one day. Ok, my presents still aren't wrapped, the dishes aren't done...but look what I did get accomplished today!

Supplies: Fancy Pants Happy Together Paper line featuring Always, Glee, Forever. Fancy Pants Cardstock Stickers, Prima Resistant Canvas, Prima Flowers, Tim Holtz Distress Stain Frayed Burlap and Walnut. Misc buttons.

I finally did a layout of Ryan! This is back in 2008 when he bought a quad. They did some fixing, did some painting and little did we know it was going to be stolen that fall. The good news is we finally got the quad back but it did need some more repair work and some new paint. The boys did a great job yet again. This quad had brought alot of memories for our family at the cabin. This layout was also published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine! Yeahhh
