The Broken Hearts Beach Club - book review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Three friends, Emily, Sienna and Blair have each had life changing moments lately. When Sienna’s client has an empty beach house they can use, they quickly pack their bags. What better way to weather life’s storms than to take a vacation to a beautiful house on the beach. When they arrive, they are surprised by a personal chef, Patrick that shows up to cook for them every day. He is moody, broody and keeps to himself. Emily’s curiosity is peaked so keeps trying to engage Patrick in conversation. As the three friends enjoy the beach a storm brews and they are faced with not only Patrick, but the storms of their lives.

Jenny Hale is such an amazing author that I was excited to read this new book of telling the story of three friends each facing their own problems, yet helping each other. It was so well written, I was drawn right into the story from the very beginning. The characters were easy to relate to and the story flowed so well. My thanks to Harpeth Road Press, Jenny Hale and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy that I read and reviewed voluntarily. A perfect summer beach read.

Surely she is in heaven, but is sad she can not see her father who passed before her. Ava wants to live, but how can she find Lucas, her best friend from childhood. When Ava awakes, she finds out a doctor named Lucas had looked after her. Is this her Lucas?

Ava goes back to where she grew up to stay with her mother while she recuperates. Ava is anxious that her promotion at work might be affected, but there is little she can do now. While she is healing, she makes it her mission to find Lucas. She even thinks she saw him on the street the other day. When she starts her therapy, guess who is running the clinic? Is it fate or just luck? Should she share what the voice told her? Ava can not figure out why she has to find Lucas, but when she does, her fate just might be revealed to her.

One visitor is enough, but when the next one shows up, it’s hard to resist when he is not only kind but also handsome. Meet Me at Christmas - Book Review

Stella Fisher is on her way home from London to spend the holidays with her mom. This will be the first Christmas without her dad, and with her sister Lily in Costa Rica, it will be just her and her mom. Stella is a researcher for a magazine called Brain Borders, so she is also going to work on an article over the holidays in the hope she will get promoted.

When Stella arrives at the hospital, the patient she is introduced to is named Henry. Not just any patient, this is the man she grew up with, the man she was once married to, and a man she never forgot. The only thing is, Henry does not remember her after a brain injury he endured while serving in the army. Can Stella keep her feelings aside while researching her article? What will happen when Henry starts remembering small details of his past? Things get even more complicated when Stella’s mom confesses, she is in charge of the annual Christmas parade, a parade her father always organized and has not even started to plan it and now the parade falls in Stella’s hands. How can Stella possibly manage everything in such a short amount of time?

This holiday novel by Jenny Hale is absolutely wonderful. The mix of characters, the topics of losing a loved one, a brain injury and a complicated past, all weave together into a sweet second chance romance. Right from the beginning I fell in love with Stella and Henry and could not put this book down. I enjoyed the depth of the characters, the story line and of course the beauty of the Christmas season. I am so thankful to Harpeth Road Press and the author Jenny Hale for my advanced copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. A wonderful novel to curl up with this winter.

I was drawn right into all the holiday traditions and could not get enough of the people in Mason’s ridge. Summer By The Sea - Book Review

Summer By The Sea by Jenny Hale

Sisters, Faith and Casey, their mother, and grandmother are on a holiday in the Outer Banks of Carolina to celebrate their grandmothers 90th birthday. It should be a joyous celebration except that Faith and Casey are still bitter about a feud that happened years ago. Can the two sisters put aside their differences and enjoy the beach like they did when they were children? What will happen when a handsome handyman enters the picture? Will history repeat itself or can both sisters find their happily ever after's?

This was a beautiful story by Jenny Hale about family and how even though they love each other, they can still harbor long ago hurts. The wisdom of the generations was so lovely, and I really enjoyed the character of Nan the grandmother. Each character had their own struggles to overcome, and they all had lessons to learn. The relationship of the two sisters was written so well that I could feel the tension between them and loved that they had to work through real life issues together. My thanks to Forever Publishing, Jenny Hale and Netgalley for an advanced copy to read and review. Opinions expressed are my own.

The Beach House - Book Review

Melanie is mourning the loss of her grandmother, a woman who meant everything to her, and whom she spent the last three years looking after full time. When she hears her grandmothers final wish, for Melanie to buy a house with her inheritance in Rosemary Bay and turn it into a bed and breakfast, she has some hard choices to make. Why is this house so important to her grandmother?

When Melanie arrives in Rosemary Bay, she has no idea what she is getting into when she sees her new dilapidated house. When she runs into a handsome yet stubborn contractor, she does everything she can to try and convince him to help her. The only problem is, he is leaving in a week for greener pastures. Can Melanie convince him to stay? Will the mysteries of the old house bring them closer together or will it tear them apart?

Jenny Hale has done it again. An amazing novel with a feisty female, a stubborn male and a problem they need to solve together. I loved the characters, the setting and the mysteries that lay in the old house. The little boy in the story stole my heart and I was just riveted to the story to find out if we would get a happily ever after. Many thanks to Bookouture, Jenny Hale and Netgalley for an advanced readers copy to review. All the opinions are unbiased and completely my own.

A Christmas to Remember - Book Review

A Christmas to Remember by Jenny Hale

Carrie Blake loves being a nanny, but she feels it is time she looks for another job so she can have a life like her other friends. She is taking one last job, looking after two sweet young children of a divorced couple, and then it will be time to start on her new life. How hard can it be to look after two adorable children over Christmas?

Adam Fletcher is successful, handsome and the single father. He has his children over the Christmas holidays, so he needs a nanny for just a few weeks. As long as she takes care of the children and gets his home ready for his family to arrive for the holidays, things should go quite smoothly. When the new nanny keeps insisting, he spend more “quality” time with his children, can he resist the urge to spend more time with Carrie as well?

When Adam’s parents, sister and grandfather arrives, it looks like they also want Adam to be spending more time with his young family. Maybe they can help Carrie convince Adam that Christmas is the time for miracles.

Jenny Hale blends the magic of Christmas into this sweet story of family, friendship, and love. I adored all the characters in the book and how you felt a part of the family that gathers over the holidays. It really sends the message that we should all spend time with our loved ones, especially with the holidays approaching. This was the perfect happily ever after story to curl up with. Thank you so much to the author  Jenny Hale, Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous!
