A Killer Motive - Harlequin Fall 2025 Blog Tour

Stella Dixon has a podcast called a Killer Motive where she investigates cold cases. Six years ago, her brother disappeared and it has torn her family apart. Stella still blames herself so now she is committed to helping other families find closure. When a killer reaches out to her a dangerous game begins and Stella is the only one that can save the killers next victim.

Hannah Mary McKinnon, with her brilliant writing style kept me guessing right to the end of the book. The characters were so well written and I could feel the suspense and Stella’s anxiety come right off the pages. The plot was brilliant and I could hardly put the book down. Thank you to the author, Harlequin Publishing and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed. Grab a tea and a blanket and cozy up for a great mystery.

The Cover Girl - Harlequin 2025 Summer Blog Tour

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When Birdie Rhodes was only thirteen years old, she was discovered by modeling agent Harriet Goldman. She quickly entered the world of modeling hoping she would finally fit in. When Birdie goes on a shoot for a rock album cover, the rockstar takes notice and that’s when Birdie’s life changes. Soon she is on the road, madly in love and still trying to fit in. When life takes a drastic turn, Birdie’s career and personal life are on the line.

Decades pass and Birdie is quietly living her life. When she gets an invitation to attend a party celebrating Harriet’s life, she is at a crossroads. Can she face the woman who started her career, the one person who truly loved her after thirty years apart? Should she finally face the truth of what happened so long ago?

This novel by Amy Rossi took us deep into the tragic life of modeling at a young age. I found the book fascinating and reading Birdie’s story tugged at my heart. The story wound together seamlessly throughout as the book went back in time and then forward to present day. I enjoyed the book but kept wanting to dive deeper into Birdie’s feelings to know her better. She went through the book somewhat numb to everything around her. Seen but not heard. My thanks to Amy Rossi, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. Grab a copy and step into the  complex world of modeling.

Author Bio:  Amy Rossi received her MFA from Louisiana State University, and she lives in North Carolina, by way of Massachusetts, with her partner and two dogs. The Cover Girl is her first novel.

The Greatest Lie of All - Harlequin Blog Tour

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a breakup, Amelia Grant is on her way to the Estate of Gloria Diamond, the famous romance author. Amelia is an actress and she will be playing the character of Gloria in a movie based on her life. Amelia is excited as this could be her chance at making a comeback. When she arrives, she is met with an aloof Gloria who only agrees to meet with Amelia for one hour a day. How will she get ready in time?

As the days go by, Amelia meets an ally in Gloria’s son Will. Soon they start to uncover a secret Gloria has been keeping for years. This will soon shake everything Amelia knows. Will she still be able to portray Gloria after uncovering her secrets?

This was such an entertaining novel by Jillian Cantor. I thought it was just a nice romance novel, but boy I was wrong. It was a mystery and kept me guessing right until the end of the book. The characters were written with such depth that it was easy to get wrapped up into the novel. I also really liked how the story went back in time so I could dive into Gloria’s story.  My sincere thanks to the author Jillian Cantor, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. If you are looking for a fabulous book with a touch of romance, a family full of secrets, then this is the book for you my friends.

You Can't Hurt Me - Harlequin Blog Tour

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eva Reid has been in the limelight for her art, but also for being someone who can not feel pain. She has been the subject of research papers and news articles. And now Eva Reid is dead. Her husband Dr. Nate Reid, a pain expert is now writing a biography about his life and his late wife to clear up any suspicions about his involvement in her death.

Anna Tate is a journalist whom has taken an interest in Eva’s life and death. When she lands the job as the ghost writer for Nate’s book, she is sure this will be the thing to launch her career. But things are not as they seem, and as the story unfolds, so do Anna’s doubts. Who is telling the truth and who is hiding in the shadows hoping never to be found?

This psychological thriller by Emma Cook is a page turner. The main and supporting characters are so well written you can feel their emotions come off the pages of the book. The twists and turns kept me guessing and even at the end I was surprised by the biggest twist of them all. This was the first book I have read by this author, but it certainly will not be my last. My thanks to the author Emma Cook, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. If you like a good mystery with twists and turns, look no further!

Becoming Family - Harlequin August Romance Blog Tour

Tabitha Steele is at a cross roads as she faces her thirtieth birthday. She has a job at a motorcycle shop, thanks to a friend, she is trying to love her classes to become a massage therapist. Her best friend is Trinity her therapy dog and she is currently living with her elderly aunt. She needs a change but she has no idea how to go about it, but when Tabitha starts getting closer to gym coach Chris Hobbs, this may just be the change she needs. Can Chris tame his playboy ways to be the man that Tabitha needs?

This is such a beautiful story of two people who realize they are stronger together than apart. Eysia Whisler has a way of taking her readers on their own journeys as they see her characters evolving throughout the story. I love how each character is raw and real letting their wounds show and then slowly heal. I also appreciate how Eysia includes a rescue dog into each book as it is a passion of mine. My thanks to Harlequin Publishing who so graciously gifted me an advanced copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion. This is a beautiful series and one you do not want to miss.

The Lost and Found Girl - Summer 2022 Harlequin Beach Reads Blog Tour

Four sisters and one devastating secret.

Ruby Mckee is the town mascot and miracle baby after being abandoned on a bridge in the small town of Pear Blossom. Now that Ruby is back home years later, the town still calls her a miracle. Ruby has that affect on people though with her sunny disposition and her ability to always see the good in people. She has never questioned why she was abandoned, but when she takes a job as an archivist at the local museum, secrets start unfolding. Ruby’s sisters Dahlia, Lydia and Marianne all have their own lives and their own struggles, but when Ruby’s past starts coming to light, how will that affect the rest of her family?

What started as a simple coming home story quickly turned into a mystery of a close-knit family. I enjoyed how diverse each sisters character was and how the characters all interacted with each other. Each character had a side story along with the story of Ruby coming home and as the story evolved, so did the mystery. It was fun to read something a little different from author Maisey Yates and I thought she did an excellent job of bringing us this story. Thank you to Harlequin Publishing for my advanced readers copy which I enjoyed and voluntarily reviewed. A great book to curl up with this summer.

The Binding Room - Harlequin 2022 Mystery Thriller Blog Tour

Detective Anjelica Henley has a new case on her hands. This one is a murder of a priest in town which seems pretty routine until she discovers another body in the church. Except, this man is still alive, but barely. With her team, Anjelica must try and solve this case before time runs out and she becomes the next victim.

This novel by Nadine Matheson grips the reader into the story in the first few pages. It is a fast paced, race against the clock, psychological thriller which was hard to put down. I enjoy the character of Anjelica as she is complex, driven and yet has a gentle side. The supporting characters are well written which adds another dimension to the story. I was so excited to see a second book in the series, and if you have not read The Jigsaw Man, I highly recommend you do.  I rated this at three stars only because I enjoyed the first book in the series more. Harlequin Publishing so graciously gifted me an advanced copy of the book which I read and voluntarily reviewed. Get ready for a great adventure with this book friends.

The Honeymoon Cottage- Harlequin Summer 2022 Beach Reads Blog Tour

Yardley Belanger is a wedding planner in the town of Cemetery, Indiana where she loves helping people plan the wedding of their dreams. She lives in a historic home along with her mother and aunt putting up with their quirky personalities. Yardley is passionate and the towns people adore her, especially her best friend in the world Mimi. Yardley would love to plan her own wedding, but with a population of only 800 people, she has exhausted all options for finding a husband.

When a new bride comes for a consultation, Yardley finds herself speechless when she sees the brides brother. He is hot, no just hot, but smoking hot. In typical Yardley fashion, she starts talking and can not stop which she thinks makes her look silly, but the hot brother thinks it is only cuter. Soon Yardley finds herself planning the wedding along side of Mr. Hot and his sweet sister. Can Yardley stay in the friend zone until after the wedding?

This is such a sweet romance by Lori Foster. Yardley is such a unique character will all her quirks and charms. I loved her relationship with Mimi and how the book also includes Mimi’s story on the side. I also enjoyed Yardley’s exchanges with the town council and how she gains a new friend in the process. The writing, the setting and the characters are all fabulous and I loved the book. As Harlequin Publishing graciously gifted me this book, I voluntarily wrote this review. Grab a tea friends and come visit Cemetery!

Sweet Home Alaska - Harlequin Summer 2022 Romance Tour

Skylar Beaumont is coming home. Her plans never included coming back to port Serenity after she left years ago with a shattered heart. Now she is returning to head up a crew in the local coast guard. Not only will she be working with her father, but she must also face the one man who broke her heart. Will Skylar be able to come to terms with her past or will she run again?

Dex Wakefield is shocked to see Skylar back in town. She left years ago after he broke her heart and he never thought he would see her again. Skylar deserves to know the truth, but will he work up the courage to face the past?

What a great start to a new series from Jennifer Snow. We have the beautiful scenery of Alaska along with two families whose grudges are still smoldering. I did enjoy the complexity of the two main characters and their family dynamics. I would have liked to see more of a resistance between Skylar and Dex and their relationship instead of how quickly they resumed their relationship without facing the past. The story as a whole was well written, and the hint of mystery kept me entertained. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to follow up with the Beaumonts and Wakefields. For my honest opinion, Harlequin Publishing kindly gifted me an advanced readers copy. A sweet summer romance.

Jennifer Snow is a USA Today bestselling author and screenwriter of contemporary romance and thrillers. Her novels have won awards and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly. A Proposal They Can't Refuse - Harlequin Summer 2022 Rom Com Tour

Kamilah Vega is frustrated trying to convince her family that their Puerto Rican restaurant needs some serious updating. They have had the same menu and décor since the restaurant opened. They are barely making ends meet and Kamilah is certain that if she can get their restaurant on the Fall Foodie Tour, things will turn around.

Liam Kane is working nonstop to keep his family distillery going. All there is left is him and his grandfather to keep the business open. While Liam thinks they need more staff and some updates, his grandfather is putting his foot down that they stay family owned and operated. Liam has been waiting a decade to enter their spirits in a national competition, and nothing will stop him.

When an incident at the old age home that Kamilah’s and Liam’s grandfathers live in bring the two friend amies face to face, they soon realize they are being played by their grandfather’s. The old men have an ultimatum for Kamilah and Liam that they can not refuse if they want to keep their family businesses open. Can Kamilah and Liam band together for the good of their families or will it tear them all to pieces?

What a breath of fresh air this book by Natalie Cana is. The characters were so well written. I loved Kamilah and Liam’s characters, but the two grandfathers were a hilarious addition to the story. Their antics kept me giggling throughout the book. Kamilah’s family also had characters with traditional family values which added great depth to the story. Both families blended together seamlessly throughout the pages of the book, and I enjoyed every page. My thanks to Natalie Cana and Harlequin Publishing for this lovely book. My review is voluntary. A great fun summer read my friends!
