The Sweetheart Crush - Book Review

Viv Montgomery left everything behind and moved overseas to pursue her photography dreams. Now she is back home in Blossom Glen having left her dreams behind and is working at a Christmas store where she dreads going to work each day. Just as she thinks life can not throw anything else her way, in the door walks Logan Matthews, her childhood best friend, neighbour and confidant who is now not only hotter than hot, but he is also a best-selling author who Viv has not seen in years. Viv in her elf costume tries to hide but not only runs into Logan, she is now all over his Instagram page. When Logan suggests Viv help him change his aloof image on social media to a more fun and loving one, she has no choice but to help him out. She needs the money to pay back her family for all they helped her with. When these two hearts collide, can they mend not only their friendship but the moment that broke it all apart?

This is such a beautiful story of second chances set in a small town. The characters are well written and the story line is fresh and fun. Although this is the third book in Blossom Glen series, it can be read as a stand a lone novel. I loved Viv and Logan’s story and would like to thank Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. The perfect romance to curl up with this fall.

Last Bride Standing - Book Review

Charlotte Delaney has lost the bet she and her sisters had which means she is about to enter a marriage of convenience for the next five years to save her parents business. Charlotte is ready to take the plunge until she is faced with Aidan Strong at the airport declaring he has no intention to marry anyone, least of all Charlotte. He is willing to sign over half of the company from the original bet, but since Charlotte is head strong, she has a different idea in mind. She challenges Aidan to sell more coffee at the fall fair than she can and if she wins, she will own the whole company, if she loses, she will graciously take half. Aidan is up for the challenge and they start getting ready for the fair. What neither Aidan or Charlotte realize is, the more time they spend together, they may be betting on something else entirely, and that thing is love.

What a fabulous finish to the Majestic Main series by Ginny Baird. I was so excited to read the third book, I dived right into Charlottes story and was not disappointed. I loved how the story took a twist right at the beginning with Aidan declaring he would not be marrying Charlotte and them placing a new bet. The chemistry between them was so fabulous I could not put the book down. Thank you Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. A fabulous series and a solid five stars.

Accidentally Famous - Book Review

Cassidy James lives in Blink, Maine at town of only a few hundred people. She is happy with her life, her friends and her business renovating homes. When she is accidently tagged in an Instagram post by a famous actor, her world as she knows it will never be the same. Soon she is being hounded by the press, lawyers are wanting her to sign an NDA and Jack Winston himself shows up on her doorstep with a proposal that could change her life. Everything is upside down, but the biggest problem is when Cassidy gets to know Jack and sees that he is everything she could want in a man. Now Cassidy is faced with loving Jack or setting him free to save his career, which will she choose?

Marissa Clarke is such a fabulous author and brings us the second book in the Hideaway Harbor series which will have you laughing at the antics of Cassidy and Jack, along with maybe a few tears as Cassidy decides what she has to do to save Jack. It was well written, and I loved seeing the characters from the first book Accidentally Perfect. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. Curl up friends and come visit Hideaway Harbor.

The Sweetheart Fix - Book Review

Juliet Montgomery is back home in Blossom Glen and loves her job as a couple's counselor. The only problem is, how can she give advice when her own love life is in shambles? When her new boss tells Juliet she needs to take a step back for a little while, Juliet is at a crossroads. By chance she is at town hall and gets involved in a meeting with the townsfolk and the mayor. When the mayor Jack Monroe sees how easily Juliet interacts with the residents, he offers her a job. Maybe Juliet can not only help herself and the mayor, but maybe she can change the opinions of the town to finally accept her as a couple's therapist.

Jack Monroe is the mayor and a country boy at heart. He took the job so he could find a way to save his grandmother's house from foreclosure. His only problem is communicating effectively with the town. When Juliet shows up unexpectedly at a town meeting, Jack sees that she could be the answer to all his troubles.

This story by Miranda Liasson is so heartwarming. The characters are well written and have many facets to their lives which enhances the story line. I loved the banter between Juliet and Jack and was excited to see their story evolve. The supporting characters added a new dynamic to the story, and it was nice to see the characters from the first book as well. As this is the second book in the Blossom Glen series, I am looking forward to reading the next book already. My thanks to Entangled Publishing who gifted me a copy of the book, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Second Bride Down - Book Review

Welcome to Majestic Maine. where we have three sisters, and one of them has to marry Aidan, a complete stranger to save their family business and time is running out. The sisters made a bet that the one who did not find her one true love by the end of the month, will be the one to marry him.  Misty announces that she will take the fall and marry him and will spend the next five years with him so that they will get to keep their family business. How bad could it be? When the sisters intervene to help Misty find true love, everything goes sideways. Lucas who works for the family and has always adored Misty thinks this is the worst thing she could do and vows to change her mind. He must take his chance to show her how much he cares before she runs off to marry a stranger. Can Lucas convince Misty they are meant to be?

Oh, my goodness this novel by Ginny Baird was simply fabulous. In the first book of the series, First Bride to Fall we read Nell’s story and with this second installment we get to read Misty’s story. I laughed and I cried right along with all the different characters throughout the story.  The three sisters are so unique and well written that you cannot help but fall in love with them and their parents. Entangled Publishing so graciously gifted me this book, and I read and reviewed it voluntarily. I cannot wait to read Charlotte’s story as she is the last sister who has not found true love….yet!

The Matchmaker and the Cowboy - Book Review

A swoon worthy romance set in a small town with fabulous characters!!!

Callie Carmichael is home in Windsong after months away in Africa volunteering. When she arrives, her family isn’t home from their trip yet, so she is without a place to stay. When her best friend offers her a place, there is one little catch. Callie is staying with Hunter, her best friend’s brother and the same man she finds irritating.

Callie is also dress maker and is known for making magical maid of honor dresses. After wearing Callie’s dresses, they find their true love. Callie starts designing in Hunter’s little cabin, and soon he asks her to design him a best man suit for the wedding. He has had a crush on Callie for years. He is hoping the suit will help him win Callie’s heart, but will it?

Callie and Hunters story is so sweet. Both characters have complex backgrounds with hurts and disappointments to conquer. They help each other overcome obstacles while working on their friendship. Robin Bielman gives us plenty of lighthearted moments, and I was hooked from the first few pages. It was a beautiful story and I enjoyed the twist of the miracle dresses. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy of the book which I read and reviewed voluntarily. A solid five stars friends!

Looks Good on Paper - Book Review

Zuri Robinson is tired of her job and her life. She needs a change. Zuri’s one luxury in life is her stash of beautiful stationary, so when she signs up for a pen pal, she starts exchanging hand written with a charming man in Italy.  There is something about paper and beautiful stationary that warms Zuri’s heart. When Zuri’s job situation takes a turn, she decides that she will treat herself to a trip to Italy to tour all the famous stationary makers. Little does she know that Italy will be quite the adventure.

Nico Fabricare is helping his brother Alessandro by being his ghost writer for a pen pal in America. When Nico finds out that Zuri is on her way to Italy, he is backed into a corner. He would love to meet her, but for how long can he keep up the charade?

This novel by Kilby Blades is fresh, fun and full of adventure. I loved the characters and the story line immensely. I also enjoyed the tour and description of the Italian culture and countryside. Thanks so much to Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. It’s a great book to curl up with and get lost in the adventures of Zuri and Nico.

A Lot Like Forever- Book Review

Whitney Carlisle is engaged to a wonderful man but she is afraid she is only going to break his heart. Whitney is keeping a secret from her fiancé Trent and has no idea what to do. If she tells him, their future may be destroyed, if she keeps the secret, he may find out and end their relationship anyways. Whitney can not even find the courage to tell her friends, so she is alone in making her decision. Trent is pushing for Whitney to plan the wedding, but in her heart, she just can not do it. When Trent and her friends start piecing clues together, Whitney is forced against a wall.  Will she risk it all and finally tell Trent or will she lose the one man she has always loved?

This novel by Jennifer Snow is not your typical romance. The story begins with the couple already engaged, so this is not your boy meets girl and then they fall in love story. This is a book about one woman’s struggle to tell the truth and risk it all. My heart went out to Whitney’s and Trent’s characters throughout the book as the pieces start to unravel. I loved the book and was also happy to get to visit the recurring characters from the previous books in the Blue Moon Bay series. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for the advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. If you are looking for a heartwarming, small town series friends, add this one to your lists.

First Bride to Fall - Book Review

Nell Delaney and her two sisters are making a pact. Whichever one of them can not be engaged in thirty days must marry the son of the family that took everything from them. By doing this one of them will secure their families bakery and future.

Nell has a plan. She is going to step out of her comfort zone and zero in on the one man she has always wanted, Grant Williams. She signs up for Grant’s hiking tour and things start to get interesting. When Nell and Grant end up in a cabin together things seem to be getting off to a good start. Then her perfect plan starts going sideways. Can Nell fix things before it is too late?

This novel by Ginny Baird had me hooked from the moment Nell and her sisters make their pact. To not spoil the fun, I can not tell you what my favourite part is, but the banter between Nell and Grant will have you giggling, guaranteed. The characters are so well written, and I love the story line. I am hoping this is a series, so we get to see which sister ends up having to marry Aidan. It is a wholesome romance with a few twists and turns. Thanks so much to Entangled Publishing for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is the perfect summer read friends!

Love Out Loud - Book Review

Fiona Nichols is a veterinarian who is more comfortable around animals than she is people. When she finds out she has won an award for helping the homeless and their animals, fear strikes. She can not think of anything worse than having to stand up and speak before a crowd. She can barely speak when she encounters people, especially the “hot” guy from her building. When the hot guy becomes her speaking coach, Fiona starts to panic. Can she get over her shyness in time to face a crowd? Can Fiona even think of a relationship with a man who is terrified of dogs, or will they both find they can face their fears if they have each other?

What a fun, fresh story Marissa Clarke brings us with this third book in her Animal Attraction series. I really enjoyed both main characters with their wit and the obstacles they overcome. The story also gave us insight to the life of a shy introvert which taught me many things as I myself am an extrovert.  Being an animal lover, I also loved all the furry friends we meet along the way. Thank you Entangled Publishing for my copy of the book which I read and voluntarily reviewed.

It Takes A Villa - Book Review

Natalie Malone has arrived in Italy to see her abandoned villa she purchased as part of a rejuvenation program. The villa is going to need a lot of work to restore it to its former glory, but Natalie is up to the task. She was supposed to embark on this lifelong dream with her grandmother, but sadly her grandmother passed before they could travel together to Italy. Soon though, Natalie will find out just how much Italy meant to her grandmother as she begins her journey.  As Natalie begins her restoration, she meets new friends who are also in the program along with a very handsome architect named Pietro. Can Natalie restore her home before the deadline, or will she have to give up her dream of living in Italy?

This was such a lovely novel by Kilby Blades who is a new author for me. I really enjoyed her writing style and her description of the Amalfi Coast. As Natalie traveled the region, I too felt like I was along for the journey learning about architecture and the customs of Italy. I also loved the Pietro was not just a love interest, but he also had his own story to tell throughout the pages of the book. Entangled Publishing so graciously gifted me this book for which I voluntarily reviewed it. A perfect book to curl up with on your summer holiday.

Accidentally Perfect - Book Review

When Lillian’s lifestyle empire that she built from the ground up is in jeopardy after her outburst, she is forced to take some time off. Her sister suggests visiting a cabin she bought in Blink, Maine. When Lillian arrives, one of the first people she meets is Caleb, the towns nicest guy, who is not being so nice at the moment. He is suspicious of what Lillian is up to, as she does not fit into their small town, so she must have something up her sleeve. What will happen when the town folk find out just who Lillian really is? Will it help or hinder the town and her relationship with Caleb?

I absolutely adored this first book in the Hideaway Harbor series by Marissa Clarke. The characters are well written, the plot is fresh and unique, and the town of Blink just makes you want to pack your bags and take a trip. I can not wait to visit Blink and the townsfolk again to see what happens next. Thank you to Entangled Publishing ,Marissa Clarke and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed.  If you are looking for a fresh, fun new series, this is it my friends. A solid five star read.

The Sweetheart Deal - Book Review

Tessa Montgomery has one desire and that is to open her own pastry shop, but she is currently stuck helping her grandmother and mother in the families struggling boulangerie. She can not find a way out until one day Leo Castorini shows up at the bakery with a proposition to save not only his families restaurant, but also Tessa’s family bakery. The only problem is the Montgomery and Castorini families have had a feud for decades, and Tessa is not sure Leo’s plan will work. Can Tessa and Leo fool both families with their plan? Can they bring an end to the feuding families by forging a partnership?

What a fabulous start to the new Blossom Glen series written by Miranda Liasson. I fell in love with Tessa, Leo and their families within the first few pages of the book. The main characters are both witty, stubborn, and love their families. The supporting characters in the book add to the story in such a unique way, especially the parents and grandmother. I enjoy the small town family romances so I am excited to see whose story is next in the series. A huge thanks to Miranda Liasson and Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

A Lot Like Christmas - Book Review

Welcome to Blue Moon Bay, the home of Jessica Connolly and her fabulous bakery. She designs the most beautiful cakes but is getting a little tired of baking for her ex-boyfriends’ weddings. Rumour is that her exes find their true love after dating Jessica. She is ready to throw down the towel on her happily ever after but may have one last chance when Dr. Mitch Jameson comes to town for a few weeks before Christmas. Can Jessica capture his heart before he leaves town or will he be another ex that she must bake a wedding cake for?

Jennifer Snow captures the town of Blue Moon Bay and its residents so beautifully. The character of Jessica stole my heart from the very first page with her sweet and lovable personality.  I adored the way that Jessica and Mitch connected and how they had to sneak around a small town who loves to gossip. The story was sweet, fun and I loved the countdown to Christmas during the story. I am excited for the next book in the Blue Moon Bay Series.  Thank you to Entangled Publishing for my advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed.

A Lot Like Love - Book Review

When elderly Dove passed away, she left her dilapidated Bed and Breakfast to the last person everyone suspected, her grand daughter Sarah. Sarah grew up in Blue Moon Bay, but her life and career is now in LA. She just wants to clean up the B&B and put a for sale sign on the lawn and walk away. She knows nothing about running an inn and she has no clue why her grandmother would leave it to her. When she runs into her old flame Wes and his adorable daughter, fate just might have other plans for Sarah.

Jennifer Snow wrote this sweet and adorable small town love story beautifully. She captured the essence of small-town living, and the tug on the heartstrings about coming home again. I loved the characters and how they each had their own struggles, yet together they could conquer their fears and move forward. The supporting characters tweaked my interest, and I am hoping to read their stories in upcoming books. This was the perfect book to curl up with on a sunny afternoon. Thank you Harlequin, author Jennifer Snow and Netgalley for an arc to read and review, all opinions written are my own.

Forever Starts Now - Book Review

Monroe Roberts is in a rut. She is working as a restaurant manager for a family friend, a job she has had since high school. She had aspirations of running her own bakery business, but that went out the window when her husband devastated her world. She has now put her life on hold to take care of her father and is sure that she will never fall in love again. When a stranger walks into the restaurant, her whole world is going to be turned upside down. Is she ready to take a chance?

Ethan Hammersmith is trying to fly under the radar in the small town of Forever Falls while he searches for answers. It sure does not help that he looks just like a famous movie star though. When he meets an intriguing woman by chance, maybe she can help him solve his mystery and help him blend into the townsfolk. But will she agree to his proposal?

What a sweet and humorous story by Stefanie London. She wrote the story so beautifully I could picture the fiery Monroe and “Thor” as if they were standing right in front of me. I loved the lighthearted romance, and the added mystery of Ethan’s family was a bonus. This author was truly a delight to read, and I look forward to reading more of her books. My thanks to Entangled Publishing, Stefanie London and Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinions.
