Faith Journal Fun with stickers!

https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Lot95Designs?ref=hdr_shop_menu

Morning All!!! How's your day going? Here it's finally Spring and the weather is so warm today! Just wanted to pop in to show you some new sticker sheets that I just released in my Etsy Shop! It all started with me looking for stickers to use in my Faith Journal, and since I'm saving my Believe Stickers for my Prayer journal, I was stuck! So the idea came to me to make some. I love to create, but I am finding I am loving designing new things. I was so excited to wake up and play with them, I just had to share. They print out on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper, and they are ready to go! So I won't go on and on... I have a little video on how I used them in my Journal, if you want to take a peek!

Have an awesome day friends!!!
See you tomorrow for Technique Thursday!

Documented Faith - Weeks 4, 5 & 6

Documented Faith Week 6 by Lynn Shokoples
Good Morning! Today I'm catching up on my Documented Faith Journal. We have been back and forth out to the cabin, so I was getting behind on my weekly prompts. So while I'm working on Week 7, I thought I would share what I've been doing with you. This one is Week 6. I am loving doing this method of documenting. I get to art journal and journal my faith. Win, win!
Documented Faith Week 4 by Lynn Shokoples
This is Week 4. I made some tags and thought they would be a fun addition to the page.

Documented Faith Week 5 by Lynn Shokoples
Week 5 I put last because it's my least favourite to be honest. Something wasn't working, and I wasn't sure how to fix it, so for now it will stay like this. Some pages are just like that, and I'm trying to just let it go and move on. Do you have pages like that?

The Best Things - BoBunny

The Best Things In Life Arent Things by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring the Genevieve Collection
Happy Monday!!! I was sitting and thinking... how long has it been since I've done some art journaling? If you can't remember when, it's been too long. I had the new Genevieve Collection from BoBunny on my desk and just thought of flowers.. and from there it began.. some paper strips, some blueberry ink and the new whimsy stencil, some spray and viola.. done! Well..maybe not that quick, but it sure was fun.. I love using a collection to art journal, everything matches and I don't have to worry. Thanks for stopping by...until next time!

Lake House Canvas - Boys Rule

Good Morning!! It's my day over at Boys Rule and today I'm sharing a canvas that I made with some of the leftover stickers and paper from the kit. I have a ton of scrappy items all over my studio and it got me thinking that my favourite place to be is out at the cabin, but I don't have any of my art there. Well that's about to change, lol.. I made this for our room out there to remind me what I love about the cabin.  . I have a little video tutorial to share on how it all came together!
My favourite saying on the canvas:
" I just need time in a beautiful place to clear my head"

Some Canvas Fun

Morning!! A few weekends ago my hubby was at flight school and I had the day all to myself. I didn't want to clean so I headed into the studio to play with some canvas's. If you remember my story, my goal for the year is to create twenty six canvas's from A-Z. I lacked a little over the holidays, so now I'm hoping I'm back on track. So here is E, F and G! Some paint, some gelatos, a few bottles of spray and a ton of fun!

D is for Dream

D is for Dream
What do you dream about? Is it a day dream where you are scrapping or
art journaling all day in your pj's? Whatever your dream is, hold on,
imagine it is coming true because dreams can come true.

Morning!!! Happy New Year!!! Today I'm sharing my next canvas with you. This one has quite a funny story behind it. It started off as a wax paper resist tutorial and ended up with glass beads covering all the resist. That sometimes happens, lol. That's why I love art.. you start with a vision and end up with a surprise.! Here is the little tutorial I did to go along with this canvas ( it was quite the process, you will see). Sorry the photo is a little shiny, had such a glare from those beads, lol

C is for Create

Today is a reminder to Create. To let go, have fun, just do what feels good!!

I had fun working with this one. Lots of modeling paste and stencils. I wanted the white and brown look,so I held fast to not grabbing more paint or spray. I altered some letters and just let go and had fun. This is what this journey is for me. To learn new techniques, to have fun and let go. I'm working on doing tutorials, so forgive me if something is missing or not quite right!!!

B is for Believe

B is for Believe - Believe in Yourself, in Your Talents, in Your Creative Journey.

Today I'm sharing another art canvas I'm making for my studio. In the last post I talked about this great idea I have to make 26 canvas's for my walls. So far, so good! I'm on B already!! I'm also having some fun learning about making videos. The movie part I'm still working on, but I'm having fun so far. This project is motivating me to get to my art table, take out those unused supplies and have some fun. These aren't for design teams, they aren't gifts, they are just for me and everyone who visits my studio! Hope your all having a great day!!

A is for Art

A is for Art - Whether your a painter, a scrapbooker, a quilter, a card maker.
This is your Art!

Good Morning!! I had this great idea when I saw a poster on Pinterest of the ABC's. Why not do twenty six canvas's for my studio? A big undertaking don't you think? I've made it my challenge for 2014! And look at me go.. December 10th and I have the first one done, lol. I want to try a new technique for each canvas and I'm pretty excited about this endeavour. I told hubby all about my great idea and he just rolled his eyes..I'm sure that is his way of showing his support!! I'm also trying to learn how to do video tutorials as well. This video is just photos, but hopefully soon I will try out an actual video! Not sure how that will turn out..but hey it's worth a shot right!! So do you have any scrappy or art goals for 2014?? I would love to hear about them!!

Sunflower Canvas

Happy Friday!! What an awesome day! My daughter is here for the weekend, so that means I get to see my gran-puppy Jaxson! It's always so nice when they come home, I miss them so much. I wanted to share a canvas I made for my girlfriends birthday. It was the first project of my attempt at art that I have given away. She was so excited, because her favorite flower is a sunflower and the colors matched her house to a tee! I found this technique from Tim Coffey on Pinterest and just had to give it a try... sooooo much fun! Took me forever to make, but it was worth it. I have no idea how many layers of paint are on this, lol.. My daughter loved it so much I'm going to make her one now!!

Imagine - Unique Crafters

Happy February Everyone! Today is reveal day at Unique Crafters. Our challenge this month is lace and fabric. I was excited about this project because Katie at Unique said I could do an art journal page for my project. It was fun to use the lace and fabric along with all my fun stamps and paint. That's the fun part of Unique..any project is eligible. Hope you have some fabric and lace in your stash so you can come play along! This will be my last project with the design team at Unique, so I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Katie the team at Unique for the amazing opportunity.

Be Yourself

Morning!! You know what I love about learning to Art Journal? You can try a zillion different styles and colors. If you can believe, my intention was a "white space" journaling page. I know.. "where is the white space?".. it's there, just look under the paint, lol.  I also usually do brown ink, but this one got the jet black ink pad, lol. Smear, smudge, stamp and glue...trying something new every time! So out of my comfort zone, but I just had to try! Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Art is My Happy Place

Happy Thursday! I decided to step out of my "neutral" "earth tone" style and do something colorful and bright on my art journal page. I've been following along with Creative Jump Start hosted by the amazingly talented Nathalie Kalbach. So many fun and new techniques to learn. Catherine Scanlon did a video with three fabulous different technqiues, so this is where my inspiration came from. I mixed a bunch of colors on the background, and when I smeared them, hmmm it looked brown, lol.. maybe a little more practice there, lol. But I had fun, got messy and have a great time!

The Sky is Not My Limit

Afternoon Scrappy Friends! I have another art page to share today. Yesterday on Facebook my friend Lynne had a photo with a caption reading "The Sky is Not My Limit". When I saw that I knew I wanted to use it as a quote on an art page. I played with some ribbon, lace and some of the new Bo Bunny background stamps... now those were fun! I wanted to try a new paint technique I saw and boy did I get messy!!! I went for my vestibular assessment yesterday and they were checking my fingers and nails, lol.. I had to confess to the guy that I was painting in the afternoon. He just grinned, lol. I'm just patiently waiting for my hubby to get home. He's taking the afternoon off so I can get out of the house. Lunch and maybe a trip to the scrap store?? He knows about lunch, but I'll leave the scrapstore as a surprise, lol.  Have a wonderful day and a awesome weekend.
