Today is the first day of Lent and I am already learning so much about the Holy Spirit. I am reading the book "40 Days with the Holy Spirit" for Lent and I'm so excited to learn. I have always wanted to know more about how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. I've sprayed all my pages and I am ready for Day 2. I even have all my elements cut from the Easter/Lent bundle. Have a blessed day everyone.

Proverbs 6 and A little change in scenery

Good Morning Everyone! It's Monday, so that means another week in my journey through the Proverbs. This week I worked on Proverbs 6. There is nothing quite like sitting in the sun, a clean page, a paintbrush and your watercolors along with Scripture. It's calming, it's soothing, it's a beautiful journey! 

I'm also doing a little change with my blog. I spend a lot of time on social media sharing projects on many platforms. Journaling Through the Proverbs - Proverbs 5

 Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I am really enjoying the journey of reading and reflecting but honestly the art...that can be frustrating somedays,  like what happened on these pages. I have found that even dry, some of my colors can rub onto the page next to it. I'm not sure if it's that I'm using a heat tool on the pages next to them or what but I was determined to find a solution. I had some fixative, and tried it on a sample page but oh gosh it was stinky and I don't like harsh chemicals..so scrap that! Then I found a Youtube video suggesting a wax...now that seemed ok, so I ordered some. It coated the pages perfectly and I was excited! Until........... I opened up my book the other day to do this post. The well page had the pink and green from the glasses all over it.. now try to get that off the wax! Oh yeah..an eraser worked, but made a big gummy mess. So to cut the story down a little, I think I found a solution! Clear gesso! I did a test and it didn't reactivate the watercolors, so I'm giving that a go! Will keep you updated! Whew......that was long, but... we must keep it real and share our good art experiences along with the bad right? If you made it all the way here...thank you for listening! Daily Scripture Reading and a FREEBIE - Beloved Society

 Good Morning Friends! Yes, I know what you are thinking, lol.. Another project? Let me explain lol.....I started a Scripture Reading Plan for the year and I read the daily verses in my Swindoll Study Bible. I absolutely love this Bible. I have other study Bibles, but this is by FAR my favourite one. Charles Swindoll shares his insights, reflections, photos, character studies and so much more. I find as I am reading I will get curious to know more and he seems to know when that moment when you need clarity and provides an insight for you. It puts the story into perspective for me and I really relate to his writing. So.... as I read, I highlight! ( see where I'm going?).

So I decided to make up some daily sheets ( look below for a link to download them for yourself) for my binder and jot down a Scripture, my notes, a reminder or a lesson from each day. It takes only a few minutes to do. Then I also get to do some Creative Worship with my stickers, stamps and washi! Just another way to Praise our Lord! I had to go back to Jan 1 and start doing my notes, but I'm almost caught up. I'm really excited about doing this for the whole year. I have a friend who is doing the Scripture reading as well, so we are accountability buddies! Thanks so much for joining me today! See you soon! Blessings.

Journaling Through the Proverbs - Proverbs 4

The Proverbs ... a book of wisdom from father to son. The lessons that were taught to King David, and lessons that he is passing on to his son. Reading and reflecting on each Proverb, one by one brings a whole new meaning to them. Each is a lesson rich with wisdom, understanding and personal experience. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a book like that written by our own fathers. This journey is teaching me so much, not only by the words, but by taking those words and transcribing them into art. I can't wait to see the lessons in Proverbs 5. Have a blessed day friends.

Praise Book Week 3 and Week 4 plus 2 FREEBIES

 Good Morning and Happy Friday! It's been quite a week filled with new projects. These are my pages from my Praise Book for the Documented Faith weeks 3 and 4 readings. In my last post  (check it out for a fun freebie), I talked about the combination I am doing with Documented Faith and Illustrated faith. I am proud to say I've been keeping up with my daily readings and scripture plan. I changed up my template for week4 and if you click on the photo down below you can download it for yourself to use, along with another fun freebie!

As I was reading Scripture, there were verses I was highlighting and wanted to document. I thought it would be fun to make a "Prayer Pocket" where I could write on the back of the cards and pop them into the pocket each month. So, I designed one and it's also at the bottom of the post. Journaling through the Proverbs - Proverbs 3

Good Morning! Happy Monday! Who says that? lol. I love Mondays. I get back into my routine and feel refreshed from the weekend. Today I am sharing the pages from Proverbs 3 as I continue on my journey through the Proverbs. I love to read the passage and then see what images come to mind. When I read about wisdom and Gods secrets, I immediately thought of those little diaries we use to carry around as young girls, so I tried my best to draw one from a google image. I also find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram. I love when an idea forms and I get all excited to try and draw and watercolor it. This journey feeds my soul and I have a whole new understanding of the Proverbs.

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a new project that I have started for 2018. It all began when I saw the Praise Book by Illustrated Faith. It was just too cute to pass up! Then I found the Scripture Plan from Beloved Society and I have been so in love with those girls for so long I thought...why not! Something for the Praise Book right? Then I thought about journaling and didn't think I could journal 365 days in a row....so then came my idea of following the Documented Faith weekly Scripture. Still following along? Quite confusing I know lol... so this is how my new project came to be! I think I will call it my "Praise Book Project".

When I first posted this project on Instagram, so many of you wanted to know about the template I was using,and if  I would make it available in the Etsy shop. I could have done that but I thought...let's have a FREEBIE! so I made it into a pdf for you all (the link is at the bottom of this post). Who knows...we could have more freebies for this new project, so check back often! I also share a ton of freebies in our Praise & Pray Facebook group for Bible Journaling if you want to come join us. Journaling Through the Psalms - Psalm 18

 Good Morning. How's your day? Here in the studio it's warming up! My neighbours to the south, in the USA are having some nasty weather and snow in places like Texas and Oklahoma. Here in Canada, we were warmer than Oklahoma today! I just have to giggle because that NEVER happens! Today I am carrying on with sharing my journey through the Psalms, with Psalm 18. I love to sit down with a new Psalm and see what God is telling me through His word. I've read the Psalms before but never had a connection to them like I do now. It's a beautiful thing. All the images I found inspiration on Pinterest or Google, except the last drawing of the lock which came from Lisa over at PraiseHeart.
