To Everything There is a Season - BoBunny

To Everything There is a Season Altered Canvas by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring Foil Transfers and the Provence Collection
Good Morning! Today I am sharing a canvas I did for BoBunny.
I am really enjoying my Bible Journaling, so I wanted to do a canvas for my studio on one of the passages. I started with a blank canvas with a base coat of paint, then took the stickable stencils and glitter paste and added some texture. While that was drying I fussy cut some of the clocks from the patterned paper and grabbed a few of the Noteworthy pieces. After deciding where the quote went, I started playing with the gold foil rubons, placing numbers here and there on the canvas. I love doing mixed media.. anything goes!! So thank you for joining me today.. until next time.

Living the Life I Always Imagined - BoBunny

Living The Life I Always Imagined by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring the Penny Emporium Collection
Good Morning and Happy Thursday!! Today on BoBunny's Facebook Page I'm sharing a frame I altered using the new Penny Emporium Collection. What a fabulously classy vintage collection. I altered the frame using Glitter Paste, Pearlescents and Glimmer Spray, then started placing my elements. Most of the elements came from the Noteworthy package or the brads package. I loved the glitter paste so much I used it to distress all my edges too. So fun to be full of glitter! The wooden shapes also go a little glitter going on!! I usually have someone in mind when I do a project, but I think this one will stay with me.

Home - BoBunny

Home Wall Hanging by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny Featuring the Heritage Collection
Good Morning!! It's Spring here, and I just can't wait to get outside and start playing in my garden. In the mean time, while I wait I decided to perk up my house a little with this wooden wall hanging. I used the Heritage Collection from BoBunny along with some of the embellishment packs and the wooden pieces. I love anything earthy, so this collection is one of my favourites. And the best part is, so many of the BoBunny collections can mix and match!!!  Now.. off to plan my gardens and sit out in the sun! Until next time.....

Star Crossed Ipad Holder - BoBunny

Good Morning Everyone! As some of you might know I have been on a journey of healthier eating and exercise since October. I can't even explain how much things have changed. I have tons of energy, I feel good and for once I feel I am in control of things in my life again. Let's just say it has been too long since I've felt like that. A few small changes made a huge difference. Now...how this project ties in... I asked hubby if we had something that I could use to hold up my ipad while I walked on my treadmill. He fancies himself McGyver ( for those of you that remember Mr. Handy), so he takes a piece of baseboard and screws my dollar store holder to it... and says.. here ya go!! Hmmmm... very thoughtful, but I just couldn't leave it like that. He had the screwdriver ready, but I yell...WAIT..I'm going to alter it first! He rolls his eyes and walks away, lol... When I showed him the finished project he finally "got it"... Now he is afraid of what I will find next to alter!!!

Flash Card Fun - Boys Rule

Good Morning!!  I'm excited to share my latest project today that I did using my latest Boys Rule kit! Do you have little ones just starting pre-school? Maybe you home school? Well I had so many embellishments left in my kit that I decided to make some flash cards! This was such a fun project!

For the cards I took all my leftover patterned paper and cut out 26 cards. For the fronts I used the BoBunny Alphabet Stickers on the Combo Sheet and then the fun began! I took out all my embellies from this kit and from past kits and started gluing, sticking and just having fun. This sure helped me deplete my stash!

For the backs of the cards I took stickers that had words on them and stuck them to the back of the card. I figured, why waste paper, I just had to stick something on the back! Now I just have to find an Octopus and Xylophone sticker and I will be set! Maybe Laura-Lee could include those in the next kit? LOL.

Travel Clipboard Canvas - BoBunny

Morning!!! How's everyone's day? This is a project I did for BoBunny using the Souvenir collection. Everytime I make a mini album or altered item, Nicole snatches them up and takes them home. Ryan says one day "well I would have taken that shadow box you did of Sis and I"... so I decided to make him this clipboard canvas where he can clip whichever photo he wants on it. He has done quite a bit of travelling, so I wanted to keep a generic travel theme. I'm sure he has photos to put on it, but this one I took off his facebook page, lol... Surprise!!!!

I played with all the new BoBunny goodies on this project. The new glimmer sprays, the stencils, the ink pads and stamps and don't forget those new Pearlescent Pens... perfect for stencils!!

Somewhere in Time - BoBunny

Good Morning! Today at BoBunny I am sharing an altered frame I made using the new Somewhere in Time collection. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I wanted to alter a frame with it. I wanted to capture the special relationship Nicole and Ryan have. From when they were small they were the best of friends and that hasn't changed. For the frame I used some new crackle paint I bought and I love how it turned out. I printed out some saying and used some rub on saying to fill in the smaller frames. Some fussy cutting and stamping completed the project. This was a really special project and Nicole quickly said "I want that", so now it's on the wall at her new home.

Lots of fussy cutting going on for the flowers.
Here is a closeup of the crackle paint!!
I just loved this saying I found on the internet, so had to use it!

Dream On Birdhouse - BoBunny

Morning Scrappy Friends! Today at BoBunny I'm sharing a birdhouse I altered with the Primrose collection. I've had this little house sitting in my studio undecorated for a long time now and thought this assignments was the perfect opportunity to dust it off and do something fun. The Primrose collection had just the perfect elements in the Chipboard and Noteworthy packs. The hardest part was the roof because I decided to cut strips and a border punch for each one..now that was fun!! I'm really happy with the way it turned out! Hope your all having a wonderful day!

Notes - BoBunny

Morning Scrappy Friends. It's Washi Tape day at BoBunny!!  Can you ever get enough of it? There are so many things you can do with it, layouts, cards and altered items, the list is endless. For my assignment I decided to make a note book and pencil holder for my niece for her birthday. I used strips of Washi Tape from the Modern Miss and Baby Bump collections along with strips of paper from Modern Miss. Easy Peasy right?

For some of the inside pages I put a strip or two of Washi tape just to add a little something. On the inside cover I used one of the Kraft envelopes and decorated it so she could add little things she might want to keep.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate each and every comment!! Have a Happy Scrappy Day My Friends!!

Sew Cute - BoBunny

Morning Scrappy Friends! Today at BoBunny I am sharing a sewing box I made featuring trends in the industry. There are many trends for the New Year in scrapbooking. I chose to highlight some of my favorites in this project, vellum, wooden embellishments and doilies. I have all my sewing supplies in a plastic makeup bag, so I thought it was time to put them into something fun to keep in my studio. I layered the doilies on the front with some of the wooden butterflies from the Kraft collection along with a few wooden spools of thread which I covered with the circles from the patterned paper. I also glued some of the Burlap Pleated Lace on the lid of the box to hold some stick pins.
I couldn't resist decorating the inside of my sewing box. I used the patterned paper along with a few sheets of vellum to make the flowers. I thought I should add my favorite saying for when I am quilting "Measure Twice, Cut Once" as a reminder.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate each and every comment!! Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Made With Love - BoBunny Note Board

Morning Everyone! Today at BoBunny we are sharing some projects you can make with Blossoms. This was such  a fun project to make. I started with a blank canvas for the background. After gluing the pattern paper on, I made a pocket with the flower paper so I could tuck some note cards and photos in the pocket. The buttons made the perfect centers for my blossoms. I made a little tack board out of some corkboard and glued some of the buttons on tacks I had at home so you could pin anything you wanted to the board. I chose some photos of the kids when they were small because this is a gift for my Mom's birthday. As a surprise I tucked a little gift card inside for her to find! On a side note, I bought some classes on Black Friday and this inspiration came from a noteboard that Junelle Jacobson did in one of her classes.

Altered Boxes - Just having some fun!

Morning Everyone! Happy Friday! I decided to have some fun and alter some boxes for Nicole, Ashley and myself. First things first.. the mod podge and some cheesecloth!
 Now a layer of Gesso
Now this was the fun part! I took out my suitcase full of nick nacks and goodies and began to glue
things down. The fun part is, nothing has to match because it's all going to get a layer
of Gesso. I showed Hubby and he says "They look good like this, why would you want to paint them white? I don't get it". Ryan comes home and says the same thing!! These boys just don't understand creativity! lol

The first layer of Gesso goes on. Now this is going to take a few times to cover all that color!
 Voila!! The finished products!!
This one is Ashleys. She is an artist, so her's has a little paint brush on it.
This is Nicole's. She loves music, so her's is filled with music notes and other goodies.
And mine. Full of all kinds of fun stuff!
This is what the front of the boxes look liked when they were done.
I painted the sides brown and glazed them with some copper.
Then I glued a little something on the front just for that little extra somethin somethin, lol.

Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. It was certainly a fun project.
I got to use all those little leftover bits and pieces!
But.. the suitcase is still full, lol.. maybe another box for someone?
I did ok gluing and gessoing everything white, BUT
when it came time to spray I panicked, lol. I did love
how they turned out though. I hope the girls love them
as much as I do!
Have a wonderful day everyone and enjoy your weekend!
I'm off to the lake for a week, so see you all next Friday!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn
