Summer Street Book Review

For years Jo’s worked hard at her coffee shop Cuppa Jo’s. She wants to take care of her brother and grandmother, so none of them have to worry again. Jo also has another idea to take her coffee to a new level and with the help of her friends, it has now become a reality. Jo loves her business, her family and friends, but she does want to be married and have a family of her own. She thought Blue who has been her boyfriend for almost a decade was getting ready to propose on their vacation, but that plan went sideways when he had to return to his family.

While Jo’s new coffee venture is getting started, she meets Rocky, who is more than happy to help her get her project planned and released. With Blue deciding on his future and his family, Jo has her own decisions to make. Should she wait and see if Blue finally comes through or should she forge a new path both in business and her personal life?

Once again Jan Moran brings us a tale of a family, friends and love. The characters are all so well written and it was nice to see past characters reappear in this novel. Jo is so lovable and I was cheering her on from the first chapter. The love triangle kept me guessing right until the end! The book was fabulous and my thanks to Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is definitely a book you want at the top of your summer reading list friends.

The only thing is the gardens have been a work in progress since they started restoring the inn and they have plenty of work left. When the work begins, will the garden uncover another secret from the past?  With the deadline fast approaching have Shelly and Ivy committed to more than they can deliver?

Seabreeze Harvest - Book Review

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Ivy and Shelly are getting ready. It’s time to visit the pumpkin patch and start thinking about a thanksgiving dinner with friends and family. The inn is quieter so nothing can derail their plans, right?

With a new discovery where the library is planned to be built, Mitch’s coffee shop being vandalized, and a new stranger in Summer Beach, things heat up quickly. Can the family save the grand harvest celebration with everything going on?

Every time a new novel comes out in the Summer Beach series, I get so excited to catch up with Ivy, Shelly and all their family and friends. This is such a wonderful series filled with warmth, second chances and a little bit of mystery as they uncover more secrets from the original inn’s owner Amelia who has passed. As a reader I get swept into the story and feel like I am visiting Summer Beach myself. JanMoran has a way of drawing you in with her fabulous writing style, and at the end of the book you are left anticipating the next book in the series. My thanks to the author Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. She is on of my favourite authors and friends, this is one series you do not want to miss.

Seabreeze Library - Book Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ivy Bay and her sister Shelly are getting ready to close the Seabreeze Inn to do some major renovations before the summer season begins. They are waiting for the last guest to check out when they get a request for just the weekend. How can they say no? When the new guest arrives, she is driving a book mobile. Can this be a coincidence that the Summer Beach Library needs to be rebuilt and a librarian has just arrived in town? As the resident’s rally around the new book mobile, Ivy, Shelly and Poppy take on a new task, working together to convince town council they need the new library. This endeavour could take years, but when the renovations start, the old inn may give them just what they need once again.

Jan Moran brings us another delightful new chapter in the Summer Beach series with this amazing novel. I am blown away each time I pick up one of her books and the story has me captured on the very first page. Orange Blossom Way by Jan Moran

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maileah is living on Crown Island with her sister Junie. Maileah is trying to figure her life out. After losing her job, she moved back home. Now she wants to get her life together. She wants to start her own marketing business, be married and have a family. One step at a time. Her dating life is not going so well, it seems she needs her friend Sailor to keep saving her from her potential mates and dates. She is trying to look for someone solid and steady, not her usual choices for men. Too bad Sailor who is a professional surfer does not want to settle down. As Maileah puts aside the dating app and focuses on her career, she is pleasantly surprised at how everything starts falling into place.

This third book in the Crown Island series by Jan Moran is a wonderful novel full of family, friends and falling in love. I loved the characters and enjoyed Maileah’s story. It was also great to get to revisit the characters from the previous novels and catch up on how their lives are going. Jan Moran has a way of writing that wraps you up in a cozy blanket and takes you on a wonderful trip on Crown Island. Thank you so much to Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. If you love small towns, fabulous characters and feel good clean romances, then cozy up and begin your journey.

Coral Memories - Book Review

Book Six in the Coral Cottage Series

Ginger Delavie has lived quite an exciting life and has finally allowed her story to be turned into a novel. As she tells her story to Jack, she relives all her precious memories weaving a tale that is wound with secrets, love, travels and her journey as a codebreaker as a young woman. But is her journey over? It looks like a new thrilling chapter is ready to begin.

As Ginger tells her story, the rest of her family is going on a journey of their own. Marina is busy with the café and now is writing her first cookbook. Kai and Brooke are busy juggling work and preparing to welcome two new babies into the family. There is also a new engagement on the horizon. It is going to be a busy time in Summer Beach.

I have always been a huge fan of the author Jan Moran. Her books weave together stories of family and their journeys. This sixth book in the Coral Cottage series was absolutely fabulous and I loved reading Gingers story throughout the book. There was a balance of going back in time and then seamlessly switching to the present-day story. This is one series I will miss but I am hoping to see these special characters again as Ms. Moran first introduced us to the Coral Cottage residents in her previous series SummerBeach. Thank you so much to the author Jan Moran for gifting me with an advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is one author friends you do not want to miss.

Seabreeze Gala - Book Review

Ivy and Shelly are preparing for the first gala at the Seabreeze Inn. This gala will present them with the much-needed funds to repair and maintain the inn as a historical landmark in Summer Beach. The VIP guests will soon arrive and the clock is ticking. When the first guest arrives, the future of the inn is in jeopardy. Could Ivy and Shelly lose the inn they have invested everything in to? Can they find a solution in time to save their livelihoods? Everything hangs in the balance as the gala approaches.

This tenth book in the Summer Beach series by Jan Moran is fabulous. The story, the mystery and how the family bands together is definitely a page turner. It was hard to put this one down. Jan weaves together a continued story of two sisters and their extended families seamlessly. The added mystery of the elusive Amelia slowly unravels another clue and I did not want the story to end. I am already excited for the next book. I keep thinking how the story could get any better and am once again surprised at the events that occur. This is my all time favourite series of Ms. Moran. My thanks to Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. A solid five stars!

Coral Celebration - Book Review

Summer Beach is having it's 100th year celebration and the town is abuzz. Marina and her family are excited about the celebration but Marina is pretty firm she has no time to help organize the event. That is until the Mayor personally asks her and when her family volunteers to pitch in, well, she just can not say no. Even if it falls on her first wedding anniversary.

While the planning is underway, things are happening behind the scenes. Marian's daughter Heather seems to be quite chummy with the new chef Cruz, but when a handsome new aquatic veterinarian comes to town, Heather has a decision to make.

Jack is on his own hunt to write an article that could unravel a huge money laundering scheme but has to be very careful as he might just be putting not only his own family in danger, it could cause chaos for the entire community of Summer Beach. When secrets are uncovered, how will Marina and her family be affected? Can they still pull off the biggest celebration the town has seen?

Jan Moran brings her readers another delightful, mysterious new story in this fifth book in the Coral Cottage series. I loved visiting with Marina and her family and a few past characters from the previous books. If you are reading this as a stand a lone novel, do not fret as Ms. Moran does an excellent job of filling in the back stories. The whole series including this novel has everything you could want, family, friends, love and intrigue. I am already excited about the next and final book in the series! A huge thank you to Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. You are going to love this one friends!

Sunshine Avenue - Book Review

Junie Raines is ready to move on with her life after losing her husband two years ago. She is living on Crown Island with her grandmother, mother and sister and running the gift shop at the Majestic Hotel after closing her on line business she owned with her husband. It is time to find her own place to live and take the next step in her career. She may even go on a date or two when things settle down. When she places a bid on a dilapidated house across the street from her best friend, things look like they are coming together. When she finds out that the Majestic’s newest employee Knox MacKenzie has also bid on the house, the race is on. Can Junie outbid the handsome, frustrating Knox to get her life back on track or will she be back at square one?

This second novel in the Crown Island series by Jan Moran is everything you could hope for in a small-town series. We have Junie who is trying to start a new chapter in her life, a handsome new man Knox with an adorable six-year-old daughter, a run-down house with an overgrown garden, and family and friends willing to help them both. The characters are so well written, you fall in love with Junie from the very first page. We met Junie in the first novel, Beach View Lane where we were introduced to the Raines family and read April’s story, so I was excited to read this next book in the series. This novel also touches on Maileah’s story, Junie’s sister and I will be anxiously awaiting her journey in Orange Blossom Way, the next novel in the series. My sincere thanks to the author Jan Moran for an advanced copy of the book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. If you like, small beach town series with fascinating characters, this is one you do not want to miss.

Seabreeze Honeymoon - Book Review

Ivy and Bennett are now married but are still struggling to find time for their honeymoon. The inn is busy, their families need them and there is a developer trying to turn their small town into a haven for the younger crowd by building nightclubs and resorts. One day Ivy decides they should not wait any longer and books them a Mediterranean getaway. Soon they are departing on their long-awaited trip, but things do not quite go according to plan. When they get delayed in San Francisco, they get a pleasant surprise from another Amelia enthusiast, and that is just the beginning. Other “coincidences” keep occurring throughout their trip and Ivy is almost convinced Amelia had something to do with their whole trip. Back home, Shelly and Poppy are busy keeping the inn running and are surprised when a man shows up and tells them Ivy is selling him the inn. When Ivy and ___ return, they are faced with questions and it is time to make a decision on their future. Will Ivy end up selling the inn to focus on her art? What will happen to Shelley and Poppy if the inn sells?

Things are sure heating up in Summer Beach with this ninth book in the series. Author Jan Moran brings us another fabulous novel full of mystery, family and life choices. I loved visiting with all the characters in the series and it was fun to meet some new and interesting characters as well. I always think I know where the story is heading, and then am surprised at the twists and turns the story takes. Ms. Moran is a master at surprising her readers!!! My sincere thanks to Jan Moran for an advanced copy of the novel, which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is one of my all-time favourite series and I promise you, you will fall in love with the folks in this small beach town as much as I have.

She loves the island and she loves having her family close by. She also enjoys getting to know her biological mother’s family that she has just met. As she is trying to decide what her next steps are in life, she knows one thing, she loves history and would love to start a historical society on the island. When she finds herself working along side the new owner of the local hotel and historical landmark on the island, she may have just found the start of a new chapter in her life. Can April put her past behind her and learn to trust another man again?

Ryan Kingston likes his private life as an investor and would prefer to stay in the shadows while he is back on Crown Island. His dream is to renovate the grand Majestic Hotel and bring her back to her former glory. Can he work with April to keep the history of the hotel alive while guarding his own personal history with the hotel?

What a fabulous start to the new Crown Island series by JanMoran. We first met April and her family briefly in Seabreeze Reunion, which was book eight in the Summer Beach Series. I was excited to read April story and get to know her daughters and mother a little better in this book. I loved that April is a mature woman with grown daughters who is facing a new chapter in life. The characters are very well written and I easily was captured by their stories. I am already patiently waiting for the next book in the series. Thank you so much Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. A great new read from one of my favourite authors.

Seabreeze Reunion - Book Review

Ivy and Shelly are getting ready to host a family reunion. It is hectic at the Seabreeze Inn with guests coming and going and the ladies are trying to keep up. With Shelly just having a baby, it is also a new adjustment. Carlotta, their mother also really wants to reconnect with a long lost relative, and has left the task to Ivy to see that this special guest arrives. When Shelly decides to do a DNA test, the whole reunion may be at jeopardy. Special guests, unexpected surprises and a new mystery will all unfold at the Seabreeze Inn.

Jan Moran has blessed her readers with this eighth book in the Summer Beach Series. There is a mystery unfolding as we dive deeper into the mysterious lives of the woman who previously lived in the house, which kept me turning pages to see what happened next. The story is beautifully written and I enjoyed visiting with all the characters that I have come to love. Ms. Moran also gives us a little teaser about a new series coming soon. My humble thanks to Jan Moran for the opportunity to read and review this book which I did voluntarily. Friends if you are looking for a clean, family story set in a small community, look no further. The Summer Beach seriesranks number one for me.

Coral Weddings - Book Review

There is going to be wedding on Coral Beach and sisters Marina and Kai are thrilled. While Kai is busy planning her wedding, keeping the date a secret, Marina is questioning her future with Jack. Kai and Axe are so in love, and they fit like two pieces of the same puzzle, while Marina and Jacks relationship is a little more complicated. Even though Marina loves Jack and his son more than anything, she is wondering if Jack will have the same commitment that she will. Of course, Ginger Delavie, the girl's grandmother is on hand to help ease the stress and worry. Why can’t things just be simple?

I loved this novel by Jan Moran. Although this is a love story, there is always a bit of mystery thrown into the mix which makes the story that much more enjoyable. The characters are all so unique and at different stages in their lives to which readers can relate too. Bringing in reoccurring characters was also fun as we get to catch up on what is going on in their lives as well. Ms. Moran writes so brilliantly and beautifully; the book is hard to put down. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and am so thankful to Jan Moran for an advanced copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. Come join Marina, Kai and Ginger for a journey you will not soon forget.

Seabreeze Shores - Book Review

Book 7 in the Summer Beach Series

It’s Spa week at the Seabreeze Inn and Ivy and Shelly are busy getting ready. It will be a new event for the Inn, and they are looking forward to the Roaring Twenties party that will finish off the week.

While Ivy is adjusting to her new marriage, Shelly is preparing for the birth of her first child. When they take a much-needed break and a walk along the shore, they find a piece of a ship from the 1920’s that has been exposed by the tide. Is this a coincidence or is it the homes last owner, the illustrious and mysterious Amelia Erickson sending them a message?  When new guests and old friends unite for the spa week festivities, new clues and old mysteries come to life for the sisters and their families. What secrets will Ivy and Shelly uncover this time?

Jan Moran brings us yet another fabulous book in the “Summer Beach Series”. Her characters are all so true to life with their struggles their triumphs, and their own unique personalities. When I read this book, it felt like I was right at the Seabreeze Inn visiting new and old friends as Ms. Moran takes us right into the story by her effortless writing style. I love the elements of family, friendship and mystery all wound together in the pages of the book. Thank you so much to the author Jan Moran for an advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed. The perfect series to curl up with this summer.

Coral Holiday - Book Review

The holidays are approaching, and Summer Beach is ready for it’s first performance at the new arts theater that Axe and Kai have built. All the residents are ready to pitch in and support this new endeavor.

For Marina, things get complicated when an old friend comes to town leaving her with a difficult choice where Jack is concerned. When the townsfolk start taking bets for Team Jack and Team Cole, Marina feels caught between the two men as they vie for her attention. Things start to heat up when the play goes into rehearsal, and Marina must save the day. Which team does Marina choose?

Kai is so excited to be directing her first play. She and Axe have been planning and now they are ready to show Summer Beach what they have been up to. When they have to spend all their time together, what will happen to Summer Bays newest couple?

Jack has a decision to make, and it is not an easy one. He loves his son, but he also wants to have a relationship with Marina. When Leo’s mother makes a life changing announcement, how will Jack handle the choice he is about to make?

I loved this third book in The Coral Cottage at Summer Beach series by Jan Moran. It was so fun to go back and visit the residents of Summer Beach again. I love the depth of the characters and how life events lead them to have to make difficult decisions. It makes the story “real” and you can not help but become entwined in the characters lives. I also liked how characters from the Summer Beach series make cameo appearances in this book as well. Jan Moran brings small town living to a whole new level with both series. My sincere thanks to Jan Moran for a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Seabreeze Book Club - Book Review

When sisters Ivy and Shelly find a notebook from Amelia, the late owner of their inn, they decide to start a book club. As the ladies gather, something unexpected happens that throws everyone’s lives in a turmoil. Add in a suspicious guest at the inn, and things start to unravel. Can Ivy save the inn and her dreams all at the same time? Will she finally decide what she should do with her relationship with the handsome Mayor?

I loved catching up with old friends at the Seabreeze Inn. It was fun to see how the characters have grown and changed from the beginning of the series, and it’s always a joy to see what the eclectic mix of residents in Summer Beach are up to. It is a love story, a family reunion and a little mystery all wrapped up into one fantastic novel by Jan Moran. I have utterly enjoyed the series and this book was the perfect addition. I can not wait to see what the future holds for Ivy, Shelly and their families. My thanks to Jan Moran for an advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed.

Seabreeze Wedding Book Review

Ivy and Shelly are going into the wedding business and they have their hands full at the Seabreeze Inn. The young couple is lovely, but the bride’s mother has become a Momzilla. Ivy and Shelly are also both planning their own weddings, but a someone is getting cold feet. Along with their parents leaving for a worldwide tour and another treasure of Amelia’s being found, things are busy for the Bay family. Can they tame Momzilla in time for the nuptials?

I am such a huge fan of Jan Moran and I adore this series she has written so beautifully. I love reading how the characters are developing in their lives and how life is not always easy for them. The series is about family, new relationships, friendship and finding your way through them all. The main characters are brilliantly written, and the supporting characters are always good for a chuckle or two. It is like going home again and catching up with a family you love. Jan Moran fills in the back stories of each character along the way, so if you are reading this as a stand a lone novel, you will catch right up. Trust me though, you will want to start at the beginning and go on the journey with them. Thank you so much to Jan Moran for an advanced reader copy. All the opinions written are entirely my own.

Coral Cafe - Book Review

Marina Moore is settling into a new life in Summer Beach after an embarrassing and career ending incident as television reporter. She is now living with her eclectic grandmother Ginger and is opening a new café to use her skills as a chef. Her two sisters along with her two grown children are more than ready to support her and help the café become a success. The only thing Marina must decide on is her relationship with Jack, can they be more than friends with everything going on in both their lives?

This story takes us a journey of friendship, family and love. Marina is starting a new career, her sister Kai’s life is about to change, and her sister Brooke is trying to repair her marriage. The one thing they can count on is the support and wisdom of Ginger their grandmother, who always has their backs. For Jack, he is learning to be a father to his newfound son Leo and making hard decisions about his future. Throw in a new café, a mystery aboard a yacht and you have a fabulous novel to get lost in.

I absolutely love this series. This is the second book in the Summer Beach Coral Cottage series and is a companion series to the Summer Beach books. The characters are recurring which I love as I got to catch up old friends and meet some new ones. Jan Moran is a brilliant author and I love how she invites you into a story that just warms your heart. If you have not read her books, you should definitely give this author a chance, you will love her! Thank you so much to Jan Moran for an advanced copy of the book to read and review.
