Keep Me Warm At Christmas - Harlequin Holiday Romance Blog Tour

When starlet Tia Beckett needs to recover emotionally and physically from a near fatal car accident, she gladly accepts an invitation from her producer to house sit while he is out of town. Tia feels she is no longer who she was, and her outward scars are just as deep as her internal ones. She is happy to just escape Hollywood and the reporters and hide in a mansion with only a parrot for company. That is until an unexpected guest shows up at the house and makes Tia question everything in her life.

Seth Turner is an artist with painful past. He has promised his adoptive mother that he will come home to teach a few art classes at her school for troubled teens. What he does not expect is a whisp of a woman who is hiding from the world to show him how to love again.

This was such a sweet story of hope. Two people each hiding from the past with visible and invisible scars, hoping to find themselves once again amidst the pain. Although the story had its serious moments, it was lightened up with Seth’s family antics. I really enjoyed this novel and the depth of Brenda Novak’s writing style. I can not wait to visit the folks in Silver Springs again. Thank you so much Harlequin Publishing for an advanced readers copy of the book which I voluntarily read and reviewed.

Three generations of women, each with their own struggles.

Mary who owns a bookstore on the beach is exciting that her daughter Autumn and her children are coming home for the summer. Will the secret Mary has kept from her family stay hidden, or will Mary finally have the courage to share her past?

Autumn, Mary’s daughter has been frantically searching for her missing husband for the past eighteen months. Will she be able to put her past behind her and take a chance on a new life and a new love or will her past sneak up on her?

Taylor, Mary’s granddaughter has been trying to deal with her father’s disappearance and has lashed out in more than one way. Will her mistakes catch up to her while she is trying to move on?

I absolutely loved this novel by Brenda Novak. I was expecting a light happily ever after, and what I found was a novel with secrets, mysteries and complicated characters, along with a surprise twist. The story kept me intrigued and I could feel the characters emotions come through the pages. I thought it was written beautifully and it was refreshing to read a novel with such depth and dimension. A huge thank you to Harlequin Publishing, Brenda Novak and Netgalley who gifted me with an advanced copy to read. All my opinions are honest and unbiased.

A California Christmas - Book Review

A California Christmas by Brenda Novak

Emery Bliss is hiding out on a ranch in Silver Springs after a humiliating experience as a news anchor. She is hoping to have some time to recuperate, rejuvenate and figure out where her life is heading now. In Silver Springs she can hopefully stay anonymous until she is ready to face the world. What she is not counting on is Dallas coming home for his mothers wedding and turning her world upside down.

Dallas is home in Silver Springs. He is on a much-needed break from being an adventure seeking mountain climber and is looking forward to being with his family for the Christmas season. When he arrives home, he finds Emery Bliss, his boyhood crush standing right in his mother’s kitchen. What could she possibly be doing staying in his home?

Dallas vows to protect and defend Emery after hearing her story. What she needs is a champion in her corner. Can Dallas help her and keep his feelings aside?

This was such a fabulous small-town Christmas story. I loved the characters and all the supporting characters and got immersed into the story right from the beginning. Even though this is the seventh book in the series, I had no problem reading it as a stand a lone novel. I do look forward to going back and reading the whole series. Thank you so much to the author  Brenda Novak, Harelquin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.

It was a shocking experience that jump-started Brenda Novak's career as a bestselling author--she caught her day-care provider drugging her children with cough syrup to get them to sleep all day. That was when Brenda decided she needed to quit her job as a loan officer and help make a living from home.

"When I first got the idea to become a novelist, it took me five years to teach myself the craft and finish my first book," Brenda says. But she sold that book, and the rest is history. Her novels have made the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists and won many awards, including eight Rita nominations, the Book Buyer's Best, the Book Seller's Best, the Silver Bullet and the National Reader's Choice Award.

Brenda and her husband, Ted, live in Sacramento and are proud parents of five children--three girls and two boys. When she's not spending time with her family or writing, Brenda is usually raising funds for diabetes research (her youngest son has this disease). So far, Brenda has raised $2.6 million!

Harlequin Blog Tour - Sunrise on Half Moon Bay

https://amzn.to/2waPbp7

Two sisters Adele and Justine born twenty years apart are now going to have to rely on each other like never before.

Addie (Adele) is the younger of the two sisters who left college broken hearted and pregnant to become the caretaker of her ailing parents. What was supposed to be a few months turned into years and know Addie is lost. She doesn’t know where she belongs and what she should do with her life.

Justine, had it all. A successful career, two beautiful daughters and a perfect marriage until one day it wasn’t perfect anymore. She doesn’t know where to turn, so she finally confides in her younger sister which she was never that close to, but she needs her family now more than ever.

Addie and Justine find their way back to the only family they have left and forge a new friendship and a bond only sisters can share. They begin to find their way home as they both learn to trust again.
This was such a beautiful story of real life, trials, families lost, yet filled with hope, love and families reunited. I loved the book and could relate to both Addie and Justine in the story. It has all the ingredients for the perfect novel and this is one you don’t want to miss. Thank you to the author Robyn Carr, Harlequin and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to read and review.
