When starlet
Tia Beckett needs to recover emotionally and physically from a near fatal car
accident, she gladly accepts an invitation from her producer to house sit while
he is out of town. Tia feels she is no longer who she was, and her outward
scars are just as deep as her internal ones. She is happy to just escape
Hollywood and the reporters and hide in a mansion with only a parrot for
company. That is until an unexpected guest shows up at the house and makes Tia
question everything in her life.
Seth Turner
is an artist with painful past. He has promised his adoptive mother that he
will come home to teach a few art classes at her school for troubled teens.
What he does not expect is a whisp of a woman who is hiding from the world to
show him how to love again.
This was
such a sweet story of hope. Two people each hiding from the past with visible
and invisible scars, hoping to find themselves once again amidst the pain.
Although the story had its serious moments, it was lightened up with Seth’s
family antics. I really enjoyed this novel and the depth of Brenda Novak’s
writing style. I can not wait to visit the folks in Silver Springs again. Thank
you so much Harlequin Publishing for an advanced readers copy of the book which
I voluntarily read and reviewed.
