The Good Luck Cafe - Book Review

Moira Green loves her life in Somerset Lake. She has a job she loves, friends that support her, and a beautiful family. Moria’s mother has had a cafe in Somerset Lake for the past thirty years that has been a gathering place for all the residents and especially Moira and her friends. Now her cafe is being threatened with the town council wanting to tear it down and replace it with a much-needed parking lot. Moira has never backed down from a challenge, so she takes it upon herself to champion for her mother's cafe even it means taking on Gil Ryan the current mayor. Moira and Gil have known each other for years, but after an incident years ago Moira refuses to become friends again. Now that she is spending more time with Gil, she is thinking that maybe he is not so bad, after all he was named Bachelor of the Year! As tension mounts on city council, so do the feelings between Moira and Gil. Who will become the new mayor? What will happen to her mother's business?

Annie Rains does it again with this witty, sweet romance set in Somerset Lake. The characters are very well written, and I was anxious to see how the story would unfold. It was also fun to visit with the characters from the previous books in the series and catch up. Although you could read this one as a standalone book, once you meet the characters you will want to hear their stories as well. I have really enjoyed the series and want to thank Forever Publishing for my advanced copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. Come take a trip to Somerset Lake and see for yourself how wonderful it is.

Thank you so much for stopping by the farmhouse. Lynn
