Family Mini Album - Quick Quotes

Morning Everyone! I made this little Mini Album for a design team project for Quick Quotes. When I saw this Lattice Booklet Chipboard Album from Want2Scrap, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. My mom has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, so the seven page album was just the perfect fit for my photos.

For the cover I took my Crackle Paint and painted the front. I then chalked the Family Chipboard Word  with the Very Berry PowderPuff Chalking Ink and added a few flowers and embellishments from my stash. I chose the Dusty Road collection for my album. I love the soft subtle colours and patterns.

For all the chipboard pages, I chalked the edges with Very Berry and Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Inks. I thought it added just a touch of colour to the pages. I found so many beautiful words and quotes in the Dusty Road Die Cut Stickers and the Dusty Road Chipboard Die Cuts to complete my pages.  Along with the fabulous bling from Want2Scrap, this album came together quite quickly. My mom loved the album and was so excited that each grandchild had their own page! Here are the rest of the pages!

Thanks so much for letting me share my mini with you today. Hope your all having a Scrap Fabulous Day!

Good Times - Quick Quotes

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! I was so excited to play with the Be Bold collection from Quick Quotes! I've been waiting to scrap this photo for awhile and when I saw the patterned paper with the surf boards, I couldn't resist. My son loves all water sports, so I will certainly be using this collection over and over this summer! For the background I used Summer Breeze 400. I thought it matched perfectly with the Be Bold collection. I then cut out strips from Be Bold 200 and 300. Don't you just love double sided patterned paper? With only a few sheets you can do a whole layout. I then did some fussy cutting to add the flowers onto my project and finished up with a few of the Be Bold Stickers and a title from the Be Bold Chipboard Die Cuts. A very fun and fast project!

Enjoy Life- Quick Quotes

Good Morning Friends! Today at Quick Quotes, it's my turn to host the monthly challenge. I chose stitching! I love to get out my sewing machine and play around.

For my layout I chose the Dusty Road Collection. When I saw the patterned papers it reminded me of Spring, so I chose a photo of my not so little puppy Jax whose favorite spot in the yard is the lawn swing. I love all the elements from this collection. The Die Cut Stickers were the cutest little elements to tuck in and around my photo and journaling. The Chipboard Die Cuts had the perfect title to add to my layout. It fit just right under my photo. You know I can't resist the PowderPuff Chalking Ink, so I just had to play with Very Berry and Amaretto.  I added some stitching across the banner, around the photo mats and a little strip under my journaling. A few touches here and there just completed the layout. I hope you can join in our challenge and show us your sewing skills!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate your comments and support. Have a Scrapfabulous day!

Mexico Memories - Quick Quotes

Morning Scrappy Friends!! Today at Quick Quotes I'm sharing a layout I did of one of Nicole & Chris's Mexico photos. I wish I could say that body on the beach is me, but nope.. it's Nicole! Wish I looked that good, lol.
For this layout I used a little modeling paste to add some texture to my background. I took my Blue Hawaiian PowderPuff Chalking Ink and chalked over the paste to blend it back into my background. The quotes from the Stowaway 6x6 Paper Stack  had just the right elements to complete my layout. I love that the Paper Stacks not only have paper, they have quotes in them too. I then distressed the edges and used the Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink to finish them off.

I also used the Amaretto to color my chipboard, then stamped with the Blue Hawaiian over top to give it a little more dimension. I'm having so much fun with these new inks, that nothing goes untouched now on my projects! Hope your all having a fabulous day and thank you for letting me share my project with you today.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I so appreciate each an every comment. They make my day!

Cherish These Moments- Quick Quotes

Morning Everyone! Hope you all having a beautiful Saturday! Today at Quick Quotes it's my turn to share my project! Each month one of our designers hosts a challenge. This month Katie's challenge is "Beautiful Birthday's". I have a friends birthday coming up and she loves vintage, so I thought I would play along.

For the card I used the patterned paper from the Cracklin Rose 6x6 Paper Stack. I love the tiny prints and the smaller quotes that come in this pad. I've almost used up the whole entire stack! I made the flowers using a punch and patterned paper, then chalked the edges with the Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink . For the cream flower, I dusted the edges with the Bloody Mary PowderPuff Chalking Ink . I was on a roll with the punches so made two borders using the Paper Stack.

Hope your all having a wonderful day!! Thank for stopping by! I so appreciate each and every comment! You just make me smile!

Daisy & Jax mini - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Everyone! Today on the Quick Quotes Blog, I am sharing  a mini album I made using the Time Wire Bound Book and the Cracklin Rose collection. The album has 20 pages, which leaves lots of room for photos and journlaing. Last year our family adopted two puppies!! This was the perfect little book to document their first year with us. I had so much fun making this album!

Here is the cover!  Now for those of you that have not met the pups, let me introduce you all to Daisy and Jax!

I used so many quotes from the Quote Bundles throughout the album. It was fun reading them all and picking out the ones that described the puppies. This is a photo of the first day we brought them home.

I tried to keep the same elements on both sides of the pages but in slightly different arrangements.

On every page I used the Amaretto PowderPuff Chalking Ink to add some dimension. These were probably the only two photos of them sitting still and resting, lol

The first day we brought Jax home we had a huge snow storm. He had quite the time playing out in the yard.

Oh my, they started growing, lol..

Christmas time was the best time! I just had to buy the Reindeer antlers!!
Couldn't resist!

This is one of my favourite pages! I love the photos of the pups when they were small
And then... when they grew up!!

Thank you all so much for stopping by! I'm so thankful for all your sweet comments, they just make my day!

I love using the Paper Pads for layouts and cards, but they are also perfect for tags. I cut the tags out of the sheets in the Paper Pads and then used the Quotes that also came in the Pads. I punched some little borders and added some twine and flowers to give them a country look. I finished them off with some  Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  Have a wonderful day everyone!

Remember When - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Everyone! I hope your all enjoying your day! Today at Quick Quotes I'm sharing a layout I did using the 6x6 Paper Pads! They are one of my favorite things to use!

For this layout I started off with Cracklin Rose 200 for the background, then I took two sheets from the Cracklin Rose Paper Pad and punched some holes and added eyelets to make it look like an open book. It was like doing two mini layouts! I used some different sheets to add layers and used my punch to make some borders. Along with a few quotes from the Paper Pad and some of my favorite PowderPuff Chalking Inks, this came together quite quickly. I added a few flowers from my stash and a few pieces of chipboard. I used a photo of my husband and I last fall at a family photo shoot. This collection is just so perfect for so many seasons!

Thanks for stopping by! I love reading your comments and I really appreciate all your scrappy support!

Tiny Prints - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Scrappy Friends! Today at Quick Quotes I am sharing a project I did using the Stowaway 6x6 Paper Pad and some of the Kiwi Lane Templates. This is my last project with Kiwi Lane, but I'm going to be using those templates again I'm sure on a few projects! I decided to make a card for a girlfriend who just had a baby. I thought the Quote from the Family Bundle was just perfect for the card. I used the Kiwi Lane Templates and cut some chevron strips from the 6x6 paper pad. I chalked the edges of the flowers and card with some Tahiti and  Java PowderPuff Chalking Ink. Now to finish it off, I just couldn't resist playing with the new  Coconut White PowderPuff Chalking Ink, which I tell you is my new favorite ink! I know I said Mocha Mama was my favorite, but now it has some competition. Well.. ok.. I confess.. they are all my favorite!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day!

Journey Canvas - Quick Quotes

If your here for the ScrapThat Blog Hop... please scroll down.

Happy Friday everyone! It's Lynn today and I would love to share a canvas I made using the new PowderPuff Chalking Inks, and a quote from the new Quick Quotes Bundles. We are also partnering with Kiwi Lane Designs this month, so it was fun to play with the new templates.

For my background I first put gesso on my canvas, then used the  new PowderPuff Chalking Inks to add some color. This is a new technique that I tried taking inspiration from Kate's Video. After I chalked the background, I used some modeling paste and a stencil to add some texture. Now back to playing with the chalk to color all the paste! I then played with the Kiwi Lane Designs templates and the Stowaway Collection to make the flowers. I layered the flowers and glued them onto the canvas using some matte medium. I took some ink and added a little color onto the quote. This quote will always remind me of our holidays and the journeys we have.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all are having a fabulous day!

There were so many to choose from, so I just had to use two! I wanted a romantic feel for this project, so I chose to use the new Cracklin Rose collection. I love to ink everything on my layout, so I used the new Java and Dusty Rose  PowderPuff Chalking Inks.  This month we are partnering with Kiwi Lane Designs. The Kiwi Lane Designs templates that I was working with were the Tiny Wildflower Templates. They were just the right element to tuck behind the photos. I love flowers so I was excited to use these on my project. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Today Only Happens Once - Quick Quotes

Morning Everyone! Today I would love to share  a layout I did using the New Stowaway collection. I love the distressed colors in this collection. I thought it would be just the right choice for a photo my husband took of me while we were on our mini vacation a few weeks ago. Along with the PowderPuff Chalk Inks, this was a fun layout to do.
For some added texture, I took my Prima stencil and some modeling paste and did a design around the edges. To add the color back into the background, I used the Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Ink which matched the patterned paper. I also added some texture to the Travel Quote to give it a distressed look.
Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut out the starfish border and then used Biscotti PowderPuff Chalking Ink and Tahiti PowderPuff Chalking Ink to add some dimension. Since I couldn't get enough of playing with the ink, I tried it on my cheesecloth that I tucked behind the Quote and my photo, and it worked perfectly! I'm truly in love with these inks!! I can't wait to showcase the new colors that are coming out.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love reading your comments!

Your Dreams Can Take You Anywhere - Quick Quotes

Good Morning Everyone! I'm sharing a layout I did using the new Stowaway Collection. This was the perfect patterned paper to scrapbook a photo of a trip my husband and I took to Vancouver Island.

I love using the PowderPuff chalk inks. For this layout I grabbed a few of my stencils and the Blue Hawaiian ink and did a little background work over the patterned paper. I couldn't believe that I dabbed the ink pad once with my dabber and did the whole background!! I also used the Mocha Mama ink to distress my photo and the edges of the hexagons. I found the 6x6 Paper Pad perfect for cutting out all those little hexagons!! Hope you are all having a wonderful day and thanks for joining us at Quick Quotes!
