Grace is ready to embark on a trip of a lifetime, when she walks out her door and finds her high school boyfriend laying on the road in front of her house along with a very upset little girl worried about her grandfather. If that were not unsettling enough, the little girl claims that they were coming to Graces so that Grace could marry her grandfather.

Friends, the story just gets better from there. The first thing I would like to mention is that I was thrilled to read a story about middle aged people, with a lot of history trying to find their way back to each other. The two main characters brought history, experience and life lessons well learned into the story. It was fun to read the banter between them, and when you add in a sweet little girl, your heartstrings start singing. I loved Lois Richers writing style, and even though this was the first book I’ve read in the series, my interest was peaked and I would love to go back and read the series from the beginning.
