Delayed Justice by Shirlee McCoy
Book Description from Harlequin
A closed case brings a new threat. Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9 partner, King, come to the rescue when journalist Sasha Eastman’s targeted by a shooter who looks just like her mother’s murderer. But that killer supposedly died years ago in a shootout with the police. Now it’s up to Bradley and King to protect Sasha…but how can they stop a killer who’s already dead?
My Review after reading the book
Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9 partner King stop at a local shop and soon find themselves on the hunt for a shooter and protectors of a frantic young woman. Bradley understands how this woman Sasha feels, as he is also a victim of the murder of his parents. He vows to protect her while trying to find her killer.
Bradley also is also on a mission to find a copycat killer, one who has killed the parents of a young girl, the same way his parents were murdered. As Bradley and Sasha become closer, she is intrigued by the unsolved murder and offers to help however she can. Will she be able to help or will Sasha just find herself in more trouble?
This story was a fast-paced suspense novel with two mysteries. Although the unsolved murder is from a previous book in the series, the author Shirlee McCoy does an excellent job of filling in the back story for the reader. I loved the characters and all the supporting characters in the story and all the K-9 partners were very well written. This book has action, suspense, and sweet love story. I would like to thank author Shirlee McCoy, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was a great read! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.
