My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ivy and her sister Shelly are back in this second novel in the Summer Beach series!

Ivy and Shelly are living in Summer Beach and trying to make a home and a business out of a house that was left to Ivy by her late husband. She needs to turn this historic home into an inn to help pay the back taxes after her husband left her not only broke but in shatters. Ivy needs to convince the town council to rezone her home so she can officially be an inn instead of a ibnb.

After a devastating wind storm Ivy and Shelly find themselves with a full house of neighbors and friends who have been displaced by a fire. This is truly a test for the ladies! Their house guests are a mix of adorable, quirky fun people who soon become true friends. With the help of their niece Poppy, the handsome and single Mayor, Bennett Dylan and other friends, they are making their new house a home. Add on a celebrity wedding and things get very exciting for the ladies and guests.

When Ivy makes a new discovery of some very expensive jewels, once again the local police and FBI become involved and when things start going missing, all the guests and Ivy and Shelly's friends become suspects. Will they find the culprit in time when the FBI show up to gather the jewels?

This was an amazing book, and I simply adore Jan Moran's brilliant writing style. She mixes in family, friendship and love so beautifully into this story. I loved all the supporting characters, yes even the cranky ones, and I can't wait to begin the next book in the series. What I really enjoyed was that this was not a typical fall in love by the end of a single book, the stories continue and we get to watch the characters evolve along with new supporting characters added in. This by far has been one of my favourite series and Jan Moran is one of my new favourite authors.

Thank you so much for stopping by the farmhouse. Have an awesome day!
