Smiles Are Free

Happy Monday my friends!! My project today features my little Great Nephew Noah who will be 4 years old in November. He is the sweetest little boy that always makes me laugh. For this layout,  I got to work with this amazing sketch from Tabitha at Let's Get Sketchy. I loved the strips in this sketch and decided to combine some patterned paper and washi tape. I'm really starting to like washi tape, lol.. I had it sitting around in a basket forever, just collecting dust until one day... out it came and now it's a fun thing to add to any project. I even took out the modeling paste and did a little altering to the background. I'm starting to slow down and take my time, but that means more time to think about just that "one more little thing" you want to add, lol.  Someone needs to yell STOP every once in awhile. That's the fun though, just starting with a blank sheet of paper and never knowing what it will turn out like in the end. Happy Scrapping everyone, have an awesome day!

Love is Rare

Hi Everyone!!! We are heading out to dinner tonight with some very dear friends of ours. It also happens to be their 30th Anniversary. I had a little time this afternoon to play, so I made a card for them. Then I had a few pieces left over, so I thought, why let them go to waste? I'll make a second card to keep on hand! So just a quick post to say hi and share my afternoon! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

You And Me

Morning!! How's everyone's day? I wanted to take a break and do a "just for fun" page. When I came upon a sketch at Page Drafts I thought it would be fun to play along. My dear friend Laurie "encouraged" me to go to Michael's for the washi tape sale...and let's just say I now have a "stash" of it, lol.  I have a few rolls, but have never used them on a layout so that was one of my goals for today. The second was to play with my Cameo. Well, you know how that goes.. I searched for "circles"..and ended up buying 14 new cuts! I'm still a newbie at this whole Cameo thing, but it sure is fun! It's blowing and snowing here, so a great day to hibernate and play! Hope your all having a wonderful day!

Thankful - Sketchabilities

Morning Everyone! I can't believe we are in November already. It's almost time to start getting ready for Christmas. Today at Sketchabilities we have a new sketch reveal. My sweet friend Karan just does the most incredible sketches. She makes being on her team a pleasure. This is our family photo from Thanksgiving. It was SO cold outside, we were freezing. I told the kids if they smiled nice and stood still, they could go back in doors, lol. I can't believe Ryan stood out there in his bare feet the whole time. Our plan was to go to the park, but we settled for the backyard so we could run inside to warm up, lol. I was also excited because I used my new tool on this layout..the sew stamper! It's a little self inking roller that makes it look like stitches on your layout. I think I will be using this one again! Have a wonderful day my friends and hope to see some of you over at Sketchabilities!

Gratitude

Well Good Morning Scrappy Friends! It's Monday, so that means it's reveal day at Let's Get Sketchy. I did something I rarely do for sketches... I Flipped IT! Thought I would try something a little different. Brenshevia did such a beautiful sketch didn't she? I had fun with this one. We were playing around taking family photos at Thanksgiving, and this was our practice shot. I love my boy, so I decided to use our photo. A little ink, some fibers and some more ink..and I was pretty happy with the result. Come on by and play along with our Design Team this week! We've made a few changes at Let's Get Sketchy, so now you have a chance to be one of our Guest Designers..how fun is that? Have an awesome day everyone!
