Unbridled Cowboy - Harlequin 2022 Romance Tour

Sawyer Garrett lives and works on his family ranch along with his siblings. When Sawyer unexpectedly becomes a single father to his infant daughter, he sees only one way to give his daughter the life she deserves. Sawyer must find a wife! He has pain from his past and how he grew up and does not want that for his daughter. He decides to find a wife just like his grandfather did years ago. He puts an ad in the paper. He is not looking for love, he wants someone to commit to raising his daughter with him. Can Sawyer guard his heart and not fall in love?

Evelyn Moore has nothing left after finding her fiancé in the arms of her best friend. She needs a change, and she needs it badly. When she comes across an ad for a cowboy seeking a wife, this may be just what she needs to make a new start. She has always wanted a family, and maybe this is the only way she will ever have one. Can she love little baby June enough to stay on the ranch?

What a sweet story by Maisey Yates. I loved getting to know Sawyer and Evelyn which were fantastic characters, but adorable baby June steals the show. I enjoyed the old-fashioned twist to the story of a mail order bride and the history of Sawyers family along with getting to know some of the characters on the neighboring ranches. I am hoping that this brings us a few new book series by Ms. Yates. I was gifted a copy of the book by Harlequin Publishing for my voluntary review. If you are looking for a heartwarming tale of love and family, this one is for you!

Sweet Home Cowboy - Book Review

Take four half sisters, one grumpy grouchy grandpa and four amazing authors and you have one amazing book.

Four half sisters, Teddy, Joey, Georgie and Eilliot having met at summer camp when they were thirteen, each having the same absentee father, join together to revive their ailing grandfather’s ranch. Each sister is unique, witty and a strong female. The characters were written with such depth and the story flows effortlessly between them. The authors who are also friends took each story and made it uniquely theirs while also intertwining with each others writing style.

I chose this book because Maisey Yates is a familiar author to me, and I have read several of her books and loved them. I really enjoyed experiencing new authors Caitlin Crews, Nicole Helm and Jackie Ashenden and adored their unique writing styles. The sisters were fun to get to know and I admired each of their talents. The story was funny, thoughtful, full of family and friends and in my opinion a fabulous collaboration. This is the first book I have read where several authors came together, and I look forward to more. Thank you to the authors, Harlequin Publishing and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed. A great summer read friends.

Jackie Ashenden writes dark, emotional stories with alpha heroes who've just got the world to their liking only to have it blown wide apart by their kick-ass heroines.

She lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her husband the inimitable Dr Jax and two kids. When she's not torturing alpha males, she can be found drinking chocolate martinis, reading anything she can lay her hands on, wasting time on social media, or forced to mountain biking with her husband.

Confessions from the Quilting Circle - Harlequin Summer 2021 Tour

Four women, each finding their way back home.

When Addie Ashwood passes away, her three granddaughters, Lark, Hannah and Avery all gather at her home along with their mother Mary to begin a journey of self discovery and reconnection to each other.

Lark, an illustrator has come back home to continue her grandmother’s legacy by opening a Craft CafĂ©. She also encourages her sisters to finish a quilt their grandmother started.  Will she find what she is looking for among the fabrics of long ago and be able to face her past?

Hannah, a violinist has given her life to the orchestra. Now that she is back home, will she be able to open up about her tragic experiences as a teenager and be able to see Bear Creek as her home once again? Can the fabrics and journals of the past help Hannah see who she really is?

Avery is the perfect mother and wife until her secret comes to light. Can she give up everything she has worked for to start fresh? Can a quilt give her the comfort she longs for?

Mary, has always wondered why her mother left her when she was just a child, yet returned later in life to have a relationship with her granddaughters. Can Mary heal her past and rekindle her relationship with her daughters over a quilt?

This was just an incredibly beautiful story of family, loss and long buried secrets. We get to witness four women all with their own struggles come together over an unfinished quilt. It was so beautifully written by Maisey Yates, that I could feel the loss of each woman. I loved how they grew emotionally and were able to face the past leaning on each other. The relationships were complicated, but the sisters learned to rely on each other and that helped them to see their true selves. It was a story that you could get lost in, and I highly recommend reading it. My thank to Harlequin Publishing, the author Maisey Yates and Netgalley for an advanced copy to read and review. All opinions written are entirely my own.

The Last Christmas Cowboy - Harlequin Holiday Blog Tour

The Last Christmas Cowboy by Maisey Yates

Rose Daniel loves living and working on her family’s ranch. Her parents died in an accident when she was very young, so she was raised by her older siblings. She is the youngest of the family and has decided she needs to find her sister Iris a boyfriend, since Iris has spent her whole life alone while raising her siblings. When she tells Logan, her best friend her plans, he reluctantly goes along to help find a man for Iris. While Rose is on her little quest, she starts questioning her own feelings for Logan, the man she grew up with. Can she keep her feelings to herself and not ruin their friendship?

Logan grew up with the Daniels family when his own mother died in the same tragic accident as the Daniels parents. He has lived and worked on the ranch as long as he can remember. When Rose enlists his help in trying to find a man for Iris, he starts questioning his own feelings for Rose. How can he keep those feelings at bay when at every turn she is there? What would her siblings think of him if he were to make a move on Rose?

I love this series by Maisey Yates. I have read a few books in this series, and it was fun to read Rose’s story along with catching up with previous characters in the series. I loved Rose’s character as she was a little sassy but also sweet. Logans character showed us the complexity of honoring family ties while grappling with his own feelings for Rose. All in all, it was a great holiday story and I loved catching up with the Daniels family. Thank you so much to the author Maisey Yates, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous! Claiming the Rancher's Heir - Harlequin November Blog Tour

Claiming the Rancher's Heir by Maisey Yates

Wren Maxfield helps to run her family’s winery in Gold Valley, Oregon. When she must join forces with a neighboring vineyard to sponsor events, she is more than leery of working with Creed Cooper. She has a love hate relationship with Creed and she would would rather do anything else than be in his presence.

Creed Coopers family vineyard is doing well, but to expand their business they must team up with the Maxfields. As much as Creed wants their vineyard to succeed, he is not looking forward to being around Wren.

Wren and Creed love to spar and argue with each other, but the more they are at odds, the more sparks start flying. When a lustful night ends up with a baby on the way, how will they handle this new twist in their relationship?

I really enjoyed this story by Maisy Yates. It had a spunky, sassy female lead character which I love and gave us the small town, close knit family element which I adore. This is the second book in the Gold Valley Vineyards series, and even though there are characters from the first story are mentioned, Ms. Yates does a brilliant job of filling the reader in on the back story. I am excited for the next book to see what is in store for Gold Valley. Thank you so much to the author Maisy Yates, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.
