The Duke's All That Book Review

One fateful night two young lovers Seraphina and Iain, wed and vowed to stay together forever. What they thought was a one-hour separation until they were reunited turned into thirteen long years. Now Seraphina is living under an assumed name protecting her two younger sisters from their father. She loves owing her own business and she is happy with her life and her friends. Everything seems wonderful until Iain, now Duke of Balgair shows up on her remote island and vows to divorce the wife he once loved and find out why she fled and never returned. The question is, who betrayed who? Can Seraphina and Iain trust each other enough to uncover the lies and betrayal they both faced?

ChristinaBritton brings us another fabulous tale in the Synneful Spinsters series. I loved Seraphina and Iain’s characters, so full of whit and humour. The banter between them just makes you laugh and the chemistry between them is undeniable.  And I can not forget the unforgettable Phineas, Seraphina’s parrot who brings much delight to the story with his antics. Although characters from the other books do make an appearance in this novel, it can be read as a stand-alone book, but trust me you will want to sit back and read the whole series, it is fabulous. Thanks so much to Forever Publishing, Christina Britton and Netgalley for my advanced readers copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. A perfect series to curl up with.

What's a Duke Got to do with it - Book Review

Katrina Denby has been shunned by society not only once but twice when a certain gentleman has tried to access her bedroom. Katrina had nothing to do with the events, but society deemed them as scandals so now Katrina and her dog Mouse have become companions to Lady Tesh. She loves her life and her friends, but sometimes misses her old life and a man she just can not seem to forget, Sebastian Thorne.

Sebastian Thorne is soon to be entering into an arranged marriage to save the Dukedom. He is unhappy but sees no other way to save his family and the people that work for him. When he accidentally ends up at Lady Tesh’s estate and sees the one woman he has longed for, Miss Katrina Denby, he is at a crossroads.

I absolutely loved this second novel in the Synneful Spinsters series by Christina Britton. The main characters were beautifully written and I loved the banter between them. The supporting characters were also well written and added interest to the story. Although this is the second novel in the series, it can be read as a stand a lone story gently touching on what the first novel was about. The was one character that stood out among the rest though was Mouse, Katrina's floppy, clumsy, over zealous dog. He was just too much fun. My thanks to Forever Publishing for my advanced readers copy which I read and reviewed voluntarily. A fun series with fabulous characters.

Some Dukes Have All the Luck - Book Review

Bronwyn has no interest in getting married, she just wants to study and write research papers on bugs. It is her dream to be an entomologist and she is determined to fulfill it. Her parents have a different plan, they need Bronwyn to find a husband and restore her family's good name. Just when Browyn gets backed into a corner, she meets a pair of young ladies who just may be the answer to her troubles.

Ash Hawkins, the Duke of Buckley needs a wife. He is trying to raise his three wards; three young ladies and it is getting to be more than he can handle. But who would marry the owner of a gaming hall and a man with secrets to hide? When he is at his wits end, the perfect solution is right in front of him.

Bronwyn and Ash both have things in their past that they want to keep hidden. While entering into a marriage of convenience, they find out that they are better suited to each other than they thought. For once they both have someone who is their champion, who will support and encourage them. Can this lead to love?

I adored this novel by Christina Britton. The characters are witty, loveable and complex. The storyline is fresh and fun, and I loved that Bronwyn has a unique passion in life. The banter between the characters was humorous and the supporting characters brought a new dimension to the story. Thanks so much to Forever Publishing for my advanced copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This new series is off to a great start.
