Cora
Lockwood is at a crossroad. She lost her job, her grandmother has passed and
now she is headed to Sunrise, North Carolina to sell her grandmothers café.
What she doesn’t factor in is the townsfolk who want her to keep the café open
and a handsome troublemaking chef who also wants her to keep the café. When she
is confronted by the scheming developer who throws a wrench into her plans, she
is soon left wondering just what her future might hold. When long buried
secrets start surfacing, she turns to her grandmothers three friends, her
frustrating chef and one big dog to help her save the café . But will she be able
to save it before the clock strikes twelve and she loses everything?
This was
just the sweetest novel by Erin Scoggins. The characters were so lovable that I
was rooting for Cora right from page one. The supporting characters are so
funny and heartwarming. Everything and everyone blended together so
beautifully. I was also thrilled to find out this is book one in the new
Sunrise Beach series. My thanks to Harpeth Road Press and the author, Erin
Scoggins for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. A
solid five star read friends.
