Emily has
come home to her family’s cabin in Hope Haven, broken-hearted from the loss of
her family in a tragic accident and a failed engagement. She needs somewhere to
heal, and the cabin could be just the place. Emily has her childhood friend and
his family right next door which gives her peace of mind while she recovers. Emily
has also agreed to paint the new children’s wing at the local hospital to help
keep her mind busy. Emily wants solitude, but she finds herself being drawn
into the town and the people who live there, especially Luke, one of the town’s
doctors whom she has a run in with on her very first day in town. Emily knows
she will be leaving at the end of the summer, so is risking her heart again
worth it? When Emily finds a hidden letter, will it tear her world apart once
again?
Author
Kristin Harper brings us a story of loss and tragedy, hope and new beginnings.
The characters are so well written you can feel their emotions coming right off
the pages. I was drawn right into Emily and Luke’s story and loved not only
their characters, but the supporting characters as well. It
was so heartwarming watching Emily recover and find her way again. Forever
Publishing gifted me a copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. It
was so heartwarming watching Emily recover and find her way again.
