When Emily
goes missing suspicions are raised, secrets are revealed, and three family’s
lives are uncovered and exposed. Three women must look deep beneath the covers
they have hidden under to piece together what really happened that night. In
between the lies and secrets, the true lies somewhere in between, but who shall
we believe?
Kristen Bird
weaves a tale of lies verses truth in this domestic suspense novel. The novel is
written in the current and past tense of many characters which only adds to the
mystery and suspense. The reader is torn to wonder who is telling the truth and
what other lies and secrets will be exposed. I enjoyed the novel, but it did
become a little over the top with what happens and the way it is told. I love
stories that are maybe a touch more realistic which is why I am giving it three
stars. If you like domestic drama, this may be a book you want to sit back and
immerse yourself in. Thank you to Harlequin Publishing ,Kristen Bird and
Netgalley for my advanced readers copy that I voluntarily read and reviewed.
Kristen Bird lives
outside of Houston, Texas with her husband and three daughters. She earned her

hand. In her free time, she likes to visit parks with her three daughters, watch
quirky films with her husband and attempt to keep pace with her rescue
lab-mixes. THE NIGHT SHE WENT MISSING is her debut novel.
