Little Girl Gone - Harlequin Investigator Winter Blog Tour

Amanda Stevens brings us a riveting mystery in the first book in her new Procedural Crime series which features Thea Lamb, an investigator with the FBI who is coming home to help investigate a missing child abduction. Thea is not on the job but can not resist trying to figure out why this abduction is the same as what happened to her sister twenty-eight years ago. The details are so exact, that it is hard not to think the same person is responsible. The only thing Thea is having a hard time with, is that the agent assigned to the case is her ex-partner and lover, Jake Stillwell. Can Thea keep her focus on the case and work with Jake at the same time?

I loved this novel. It had all the right ingredients for a crime mystery. Intrigue, racing against the clock, clues from the past and a bonus of the tension between Thea and Jake and their past relationship. The novel does not focus entirely on their romance, but on the crime at hand which I found refreshing. I enjoyed following the clues, and the ending was a surprise. All in all, a great mystery with a touch of romance. My thanks to Harlequin Publishing for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my unbiased review.
