Dr. Jessie Teska has another case on her hands. This one is a body found at a construction site that first appears to be an accident, but when Jessie takes a closer look, she locks down the site and calls in the police. This is definitely a homicide.
Along with digging into the homicide and finding twists at every turn, a major earthquake hits the city which wrecks even more havoc onto the investigation. When Jessie comes face to face with the killer, will she be left for dead underneath the rubble or will she bring another killer to justice?
Judy Melinek and T.J. Mitchell have another suspense hit on their hands. They not only leave us hanging and breathless at the end of every chapter but they also delve into the emotional and personal side of Jessie which brings such depth to the story. I have enjoyed every book in the series and this one is no exception. You could read this book as a stand a lone as well as the authors do a great job of filling in the backstory.
