When she goes to her father’s house, she finds herself in the middle of something sinister and calls the one person she can count on, her friend Cassie. When Cassie shows up with a Russian mobster, Bonnie does know if she should trust him or turn tail and run as far as she can from him.

With Roman to the rescue, he quickly takes Bonnie under his protection and vows to keep her safe at all costs. Bonnie does not understand what being under protection means, and she finds herself living at Romans house and leading a very different life than she has ever known. Can Roman keep her safe and guard his heart? Will Bonnie start trusting her new family as they keep searching for her father and brother?

What a face paced read this was. I really enjoyed Bonnie and Romans’ story. I loved catching up with the previous characters from the series as well. This had all the makings of a great book, a mystery, a feisty heroine, a handsome strong male hero, and a group of supporting characters that had their own amazing stories. I did not read the whole series, but had no problems catching up as the author did an excellent job of filling the reader in on the back stories.
