Jena Harper is loving her job as the local veterinarian and animal rescue coordinator. Everything in life is going as planned until her best friend Tucker tells her he is uprooting his family and taking a teaching job in Texas. How can he turn his back on his family and Jena when she needs him the most?

This is just the sweetest story, set in a small town. The characters are so well written that you feel a part of the story. I loved how the whole Rainbolt family was involved in the story and the added twist of a new character Dee which let us into the life of a younger Jena. I also loved that this was a story of faith and author Tina Radcliffe showed us how with faith, anything is possible. Add in the adorable rescue animals and this story had me hooked. This is the first book in the series that I have read, and it was not hard to follow as the supporting characters backstories were included in the narrative. I do look forward to going back and reading the first books in the series.
