Coral Cottage - Book release and review

Marina Moore’s news anchor life goes sideways after an on-air ploy to destroy her, so she runs to the only safe place she knows, her grandmother Gingers Coral Cottage tucked on the shore of Summer Beach. Marina with the sound advice of Ginger soon discovers that maybe it is time to reinvent herself and do something she has always loved to do, now that her two children are away at college. Before long Marian’s younger sister Kai comes to visit and together, they decide to embark on a new adventure, one that may keep Marin in Summer Beach longer than she expected.

Jack Ventana is a journalist who needs a break and decides to try his hand at a novel, so he buys a VW van and starts his new adventure along with his new dog Scout in tow. He takes a turn and ends up in Summer Beach and decides this is just the place he needs to be to write his book. Jack ends up renting a small cottage behind Ginger’s home that she rents for the summers. Little did he know, the woman he ran into and seemed to disappear is also living in the main house. When Jack is contacted by a long-lost friend for help, will he also make Summer Beach his home?

I absolutely adored this novel by Jan Moran. After reading the first three novels in the Summer Beach series, I was excited for a new addition to the series. This can be read as a stand-a-lone novel, as Ms. Moran does an excellent job of filling in the back stories of the supporting characters, but you will want to go back and read the rest of the books, trust me on this! This is a story of family, friendship, loss and second chances, and you are enraptured right from the first pages. I cannot wait to see how the story evolves in the second book in the series.

Thank you so much to the author Jan Moran for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.
