A little bit about the book from Harlequin
In
the wake of a tragedy, the Tactical Crime Division is the first call. When
ironclad body armor inexplicably fails and soldiers perish, the Tactical Crime
Division jumps into action. Agent and former ranger Davis Rogers asks to go
undercover to find the traitor responsible for the death of one of his friends,
and Petrov Armor CEO Leila Petrov is happy to provide access to her
company…especially once she discovers she’s being framed. But will their joint
efforts be enough to uncover the truth?
My review after reading the book
Leila Petrov
is now the CEO of her fathers company Petrov Armor after her fathers death three
weeks ago. She is young for the job but she feels she can handle it until the
FBI show up at her office claiming soldiers died from armor that was faulty.
Armor that had her companies stamp on it.
Davis Rogers
is a former army ranger whose friend died using the faulty armor and he wants
on the case. He is going undercover at Petrov Armor as Leila’s assistant to try
and uncover who could have been responsible. He is convinced Leila is innocent,
but can he trust her fully?
This story
is action packed, fast moving and you keep thinking you have it all figured out
until the author Elizabeth Heiter throws another twist in the story. She
developed the characters well and it was nice to catch a little glimpse into
some of the characters from the last book in the series. I did read the first
book as well, but this can be read as a stand a lone novel.
Thank you to
Harlequin, Elizabeth Heiter and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to
read and review.
