My New Art Journal

Morning!!! How's everyone's day? Is it a scrappy day or a work day? A clean the house kind of day? I'm in a chatty mood today, so this is a long one! Over the weekend hubby and I were babysitting Chris while he was still in recovery after surgery. Thankfully my studio is right next to his room so I can keep an eye my drug induced patient, lol.  He is so easy to look after, just give him some meds and off he goes to sleepy land, lol. Well, he does also have the t.v. and xbox to play with too, lol. So I needed a break from design team assignments and when that happens I need to just take some time off and create. Play with my paints, mists, inks and gelatos. I bought this art journal a few weeks back and finally pulled it out and made the front and back covers. Well..I wasn't going to make the back but I stamped a saying upside down, so the front became the back, and the rest is a funny story. That's what I love about mixed media. There is no right or wrong, when you splash ink by mistake...just cover it up with something else. Fun right? Hence why the front cover is pretty dark, lol. You all know I'm addicted to She Art by now, but this journal is just for art journaling. Trying different techniques and just having fun. I'm excited to see what the first page will be. Thanks for taking a peek and coming on this journey with me! Your a great group of friends who support me in all my endeavours, and I really appreciate each and every one of you.

Just some close ups of my favourite parts of the journal.
I was most excited that I took these old Wild Asparagus letters and grunged them up with some paint, ink, rub-ons and stamps. See...I'm learning!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments and I appreciate your scrappy support! Have a wonderfully happy scrappy day! Lynn
