It's Saskatoon picking time here in Alberta. If you are not familiar with Saskatoon berries, they look like blueberries but have a slightly different taste. We are fortunate, that where we live, they grow wild and we have a ton of bushes right here on the farm. We managed to pick a few the other night before the birds got the ripe ones, so I decided to make some muffins. Since I am not a food blogger, I don't have a ton of photos, but I wanted to share the recipe with you all anyways. They are moist and oh so delicious! If you do not have Saskatoon berries, blueberries, cranberries or any other berry will work just fine. Hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
