Harlequin Spring Fling Blog Tour - The Setup

A serial killer, a psychologist and a handsome detective.

When Detective Jake McAllister shows up to a crime scene, the last person he wants to see is Kyra Chase, a psychologist who works as a victim’s advocate. When they are put on the same task force to catch a serial killer, can they keep their opinions of each other in check while solving the murders?

This novel by Carol Ericson is a fast-paced thriller that takes the reader on a wild ride of suspense, intrigue, and long buried secrets. This is the first novel I have read by the author, and I really connected to her writing style. The characters and their backstories had depth and dimension which held my interest throughout the book. The thing I loved the most is that the two main characters relationship evolves slowly throughout the book which made the book very realistic and enjoyable. It was refreshing to read such a fascinating novel. I loved how the book ended, and I am excited for the next book in the series. I would like to thank Carol Ericson, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. I really enjoyed it. My opinions and this review are unbiased and entirely my own.

Carol Ericson lives in southern California, home of state-of–the-art cosmetic surgery, wild freeway chases, and a million amazing stories. These stories, along with hordes of virile men and feisty women clamor for release from Carol’s head until she sets them free to fulfill their destinies and her readers’ fantasies.
