A sweet small-town romance with a hot firefighter, a sassy little girl, and three half sisters trying to muddle through their father’s estate.
Avery Keller has come to Magnolia, North Carolina to hear the reading of her father’s will, a father whom she has never met and could really care less about. She just wants to get her money and get out of town. What she does not count on are the terms of his will and two half sisters, Carrie, and Meredith that she knows nothing about. Could her life get any more complicated?
Gray Atwell is fire fighter and a divorced dad dedicated to raising his young daughter Violet. He does not need any complications in his life, so when he runs into the sassy sophisticated woman who is staying in his guest house, he knows he should keep his distance, but can he?
Avery and Gray both have failed relationships in their pasts and are afraid to open their hearts again. They decide to be “just friends” but the attraction keeps leading them in a different direction. Avery keeps telling everyone she is just in town for a short time, but the town, her sisters, Gray and sweet little Violet start tugging at her heartstrings, heartstrings she did not even know she had. This may be just the opportunity Avery needs to start over and finally find somewhere to call home.
I absolutely loved this story. It was funny, sassy, sweet and tender. The main characters were so well written, I was drawn into the story from the very first page. I loved how the three sisters were such strong, yet different personalities which added an extra element into the story. Little Violet was just the sweetest character and her relationship with Avery is just too funny, and it made me giggle throughout the book. I am excited to read the next book in the series, The Merriest Magnolia to catch up with the sisters and what the town of Magnolia has in store for Carrie.
