Alexandra “Lex” Granger is a top-notch security consultant for a private security firm and her next assignment is one she wants to turn down but for the sake of her mentor and boss, she grudgingly accepts. She must go undercover as an escort for a billionaire who will not take a security threat seriously. Lex doubts that she is beautiful enough to get the job, but after a makeover, Lex is getting more confident. That is until she meets the arrogant Michael Thornton.

Michael Thornton must travel to Copenhagen to secure a new asset to his already successful empire but there is one little snag. The wife of a diplomat has her eye on Michael and if she succeeds, the deal could be in jeopardy. Michael needs a “pretend girlfriend” to keep this woman at bay. He does not “do” relationships, so he tells his assistant to hire him someone to take along. When he reads the applicants, one woman stands out, but when he does some digging, he finds out she is a gold-digging shrew. He cannot resist trying to teach her a lesson.

When Lex meet, sparks fly and soon Lex is wondering how she can protect this man when she is already attracted to him. Their agreement is no sex, just pretending they are a couple, so hopefully she can stay focused. When they arrive in Copenhagen, they both can not resist temptation, and the sparks start flying. Can Lex keep her cover up while trying to protect the man she is falling for? Can Michael get over the fact that the woman he is falling for is a gold digger?

I absolutely loved Ravina Hilliard’s writing style and can not wait to read another one of her books. The story had a mystery to it, a sweet sassy romance and I loved how the story weaved together so brilliantly. Thank you so much to the author Ravina Hilliard, and Dawn Hill Publications for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was fabulous! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.
