A little bit about the book from Harlequin
The only thing they have in common is a
property line! Cam Maguire is in Blackberry Bay to unravel a family secret.
Meredith Price has moved next door with her daughter. He’s unattached. She’s a
widowed single mom. He’s owned by a cat. She’s definitely team canine. All
these neighbors have in common is a property line. One they cross…over and
over. And Cam thought he knew what he wanted—until his family’s secret changes
everything.
My review after reading the book
Meredith
Price is starting a new life for herself and her daughter Sophie after the
death of her husband. She has bought a quaint little house on the water in her hometown,
Blackberry Bay so she could be close to her parents. They are settling in
nicely until Meredith finds out that the house next door has a new owner, and it
is not the sweet little old lady that use to live there.
Cam Maguire
is in Blackberry Bay to settle his late grandmothers’ estate as quickly as he
can so he can head back to New York to his job and his life. He never knew his grandmother,
so he is intent on finding out more about his family before he sells the
property. Everything is going well until he meets his new neighbors Meredith
and Sophie.
Trying to maintain
their distance is not as easy as Cam and Meredith think it will be. Little
Sophie is determined to make a new friend in Cam and he can’t resist the little
girl. Soon it becomes outings, dinners, and trips to the library as a group.
Can Cam walk away from this adorable little girl and the attraction he feels
for Meredith before it is too late? Can Meredith handle losing yet another man
in her life and a father figure for Sophie?
I love this
feel good romance set in a small quaint town. The characters were so beautifully
written, and it tugs at your heart strings from page one. This is the first
book in the series, and I cannot wait to see who the next book will be about
and catch up with Cam, Meredith and Sophie again. Thank you so much to the
author Shannon Stacey, Harlequin and NetGalley for an advanced copy to read and
review.
