A fabulous first book in a new series, you do not want to miss!

Jamie Quinn, a divorce lawyer living in small town Hollywood, Florida is trying to settle her mother’s estate and taking a break from work when her aunt calls her in a panic. Her cousin, a young autistic boy has been accused of murder! Jamie is not sure she can handle a criminal case, but she will do everything she can to help her family.

Jamie needs help to solve this murder. Her friend Grace who is also a lawyer and a wild PI named Duke come to her rescue and the clues quickly start coming together. Will they be able to find the killer before her cousin is tried for murder?

I absolutely loved this novel by Barbara Venkataraman. Her writing is quick witted, and I loved that the story was told in the first person. As a reader you quickly fell in love with Jamie and all the supporting characters. Her relationship with Duke is hilarious and you can just imagine Jamie rolling her eyes at the things he says. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! This book is one of my favourites of the year and Barbara is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

I must thank Barbara Venkataraman for an advanced copy of this book to read and review. It was fabulous! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.
