Harrison McCord is driving down a back road when he spots a woman in a wedding dress clearly in distress. After he helps her deliver her baby, he can’t help but feel a little guilty for what he is about to tell her and her family.

Harrison is the rightful owner of the Dawson family ranch and he will not be swayed by pretty Daisy Dawson and her adorable little baby boy to let her family keep the ranch. Daisy on the other hand thinks that if Harrison knows how much the ranch means to her and her family, he will change his mind. Daisy is out to protect her family just as Harrison is out to keep a promise to his father. Will Daisy be able to win over Harrison? Will Harrison have the heart to take what is rightfully his?

I loved the banter and the growing friendship between Harrison and Daisy. The author Melissa Senate did a great job of weaving family, forgiveness and love all into the story seamlessly. Even though this is the second book in the “Dawson Family Ranch” series, the author does an awesome job of filling in the previous characters so that it can be read as a stand a lone novel. I enjoyed the story and I look forward to the next book in the series. Thank you to Harlequin, Melissa Senate and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to read and review.
