Met Her Match by Jude Deveraux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Terri Rayburn didn’t have the easiest time growing up and is happy staying in her own little world which consists of a summer resort on a lake in Virginia. She is happy working and living on the resort helping out the residents. Until one day…………Terri comes home to find a stranger on her front lawn who is now coming into her house!
Nate Taggert has come to Summer Hill to get married and start a new life. He was offered a place to stay and had no idea that a very attractive girl was also a resident.
As Terri and Nate decide to become roomates until Nate’s fiancĂ© arrives, things start to fall into place. Nate offers to help Terri out and as the days go by they find more and more they have in common. They both fall into a comfortable routine of being friends and roommates. This perfect set up becomes quite complicated when Stacy returns to town, Nate tries to repair Terri’s tarnished reputation and the town folk become involved.
This was such a refreshing novel. I loved meeting the returning characters in the book and enjoyed the love triangle between Terri, Nate and Stacy. What I didn’t expect was a mystery thrown into the mix, which added a whole new dimension to the story and the characters. This book made me laugh, cry and cheer for our heroine to the very end. Thank you so much to Harlequin-Mira, Jude Deveraux and Net Galley for an advanced copy of the book to review.
