Keri Wolf is a writer who specializes in books based on crimes of the past. She is invited by Carl, Brentwood the new owner to an inn that is known for being haunted .Along with them is a television crew called the “Truth Seekers” known for their series on paranormal events. The story begins as Keri, Carl and the crew settle into the inn to begin filming. Quickly things take a turn for the worst as Keri not only finds a dead body but she also sees a ghost. Is it just her imagination running wild?
Joe Dunhill a former police officer and now a FBI trainee and Krewe member Dallas Wicker are soon to arrive on the scene. All of the members at the inn are now suspect in the murder along with the former owner and catering staff. Keri soon starts working with Joe and Dallas to find out if the recent murder is tied to the past murders that took place long ago.
The story twists and turns to include a missing girl, a dead FBI agent and another agent who was run down. Can history help the Krewe of Hunters solve the mystery?
I loved this 28th book by Heather Graham. I have read previous books in the series, but not the entire series. This definitely makes me want to go back and catch up. I loved the mix of old and new characters in the story as well. This isn’t a book that will keep you up at night, but what it is, is a great suspense novel with a touch of the paranormal. I thought it was brilliantly written and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you to Harlequin MIRA, Heather Graham and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was a fabulous read.
