Cindy and her daughter Shannon are close, so close they even live next door to each other. When Shannon gets engaged, she wants to keep it secret as Cindy is getting ready to walk down the aisle herself. Shannon really does not want a double wedding.

Ava and her daughter Victoria do not share that close bond. Victoria is a stunt woman and that drives Ava crazy. When Victoria gets injured, she has no choice by to go back to stay with her parents.

By chance the four women meet and Cindy and Ava are guarded to keep a secret that only they share. When the secret unravels the four women are now dealing with the past and also the future they share.

I loved this novel. It was so well written and I loved they dynamics between the mothers and daughters. I also admire that the characters were not quick to forgive and forget, making the story true to life itself.
