What Doesn't Kill You by Donna Huston Murray

Lauren Beck is a fighter. She has beat cancer and now she must beat whoever is out to frame her for murder. She is tough and resourceful, but also has a heart of gold. When Lauren’s best friend passes, her life takes on a new direction, one Lauren does not want to follow. With the help of old and new friends, Lauren digs for clues, searches for suspects and races against the clock to find out just who has it out for her. Can she solve the murder before time runs out?

This mystery by Donna Huston Murray was fabulous. The heroine Lauren is cheeky, full of whit, hard as nails yet all woman who yearns for a relationship and a life outside of her job. She is so well rounded and while trying to solve a murder, our heroine is kicked out of her home which adds more dimension to an already great novel. I am excited to see what Lauren gets up to in the next book in the series. Thank you to the author Donna Huston Murray for the gift of the novel for which I reviewed with an unbiased opinion. For me I found a new author to read and a fantastic start to a new series.
