Rodeo and Juliet - Book Review

Juliet and her sister Josie move from the big city to a small town when their father passes away to help their Aunt and Uncle run their hotel. Life is simpler there and the girls are adjusting to small town life. One day Juliet heads out and finds an abandoned horse outside. Juliet does everything she can to find its owner, but it looks like she may just have to keep him. The horse though, is not just any horse, he seems to understand everything she says, and follows her everywhere. He will even dance with her. What will happen when his owner shows up in town?

Rodeo is looking for his stubborn trick horse everywhere and can not seem to find him. When he comes across his horse, he is in for quite a surprise. It seems that Star has found a new love. His horse will not leave the side of a beautiful woman and Rodeo must find a way to convince his horse to go with him as they have shows to do. Rodeo has a dream to buy a ranch and is in desperate need of the money. The only way this looks even remotely possible is if he can convince Juliet to come along.

This was such a sweet novel by Linda Ford. I loved Star and his antics which had me laughing more than once. The characters were all beautifully written and I adored Juliet and her family. This was the perfect book to cuddle up with and I highly recommend reading it. I am excited to read the next book in the series “Much Ado about Josie” by Lacy Williams as well to read more about the family and catch up with Rodeo and Juliet. My thanks to Lacy Williams and Linda Ford for an advanced readers copy to review for my honest opinions.

Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head, often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had 4 homemade children, adopted 10 and lived her dream. She lives on a small ranch in western Alberta, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren. Linda still finds a great deal of enjoyment and satisfaction in creating imaginary worlds only now she does it on paper or rather, at the computer.
